I saw a Hyundai Sonata advertised on autotrader, I was informed that it was previously a rental vehicle, but was also told that the car is up to date and everything has been done and in good condition. There was imperfections on the body of the car. Nicks, dents and scratches here and there. Stains on the seats.. Nothing major, but since I was paying in full, I figured I could get a better deal due to those issues. The younger guy who was initially helping me, constantly kept telling me the dents and nicks were unnoticeable, and that at night, you wouldn't even see it. He also said it's so minor that I won't need to fix it. I thought to myself, am I buying the car or are you buying it? Is it your money or mine? I also informed him that there was a more prestine Sonata we saw a few days prior for a better deal, but someone else bought it before we could. He kept questioning me, arguing with me and even spent time on his phone checking autotrader ads! Makes me wonder, they know what they can give the car to me for, what's the point of standing there, checking the competitors, wasting everyone's time. Either we're going to do this deal or not. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to go back and forth. I told them I was paying cash. In addition, I had just gotten off a 9 hr shift and took a two hour drive in traffic from San Diego. So after dealing with the little guy, the big brother comes to save him from his terrible sales technique. He gave me the closest price to what I wanted. I was happy and we sealed the deal. Upon leaving, I realized the car didn't have any floor mats. He ran inside and told me he was only able to find floor mats for a Kia Optima, which will still fit. I wasn't happy, but then again, I didn't wanna be difficult and figured, well at least floor mats won't cost too much if I wanted to replace them later on. So I shut up and said thank you. As we were pulling out. I was in my car and my husband was in his "new" Sonata. The boss runs to the car, tells him thank you and to make sure we leave a good review on yelp. We were both ready to write a good review, despite of the little things.. yevi and lana seemed like cool guys. Let's say I'm glad I didn't jump the gun on the review. As he was driving home, about 20 miles in, he noticed a rotating, rocking type sound coming from the back wheels at around 60-70 mph. He informed me of it, but I told him he was probably listening a little too hard. So I decided to drive it. Initially everything sounded good for about 10 miles. I started noticing it and the car also felt like it was rocking. 2 days after having the car, the tire pressure light came on for the rear left tire, where the noise was coming from. Fast forward to 4 days after. We took it to the dealership and found out the alignment is off, so it caused the car to rock, which made the two back wheels wear from the inside out. The dealership also informed us that the air filters has never been changed. Estimated repairs will cost about $500. We called yevi to inform him of it. We tried being polite, but he began arguing with us saying that it was normal wear and tear on the tires and that we just need to change it. We emphasized that he told us the car was in good condition. He just kept defending himself and arguing, saying this is "normal wear and tear". It wasn't getting anywhere. I understand the usual wear on tires, but this car is at 38k miles, and the type of rocking was not "normal". The type of wear on the tires was not "normal". Yet, the man kept arguing. So finally at the end he tells us to drive the car BACK to Murrieta and he will replace the tires. SERIOUSLY? That's the best you can do and you own a dealership? Is that how you resolve issues? I guess now we have to fork out $200 for repairs and find the time to drive all the way back out there, wasting time and money. How insensitive of other peoples time. Ill probably just save my time and energy and take care of this myself, rather than going back to deal with them again. Way to go guys!!!! I will be reporting to the BBB. Note: They will trick you by putting a paper on the dashboard of each car with it checked as "warranty OR as-is". However, all vehicles have it checked for "warranty" but when they have you sign the papers, they may have you sign for as-is no warranty (the same paper, but this time they will switch it to 'as-is') and will explain that the car is still under manufacturer warranty and that the original dealership will take care of any issues, not them. Very misleading. So keep an eye on that. Additionally, they didn't wash my car after I made the purchase. I should listened to my gut feelings. Until this is better resolved, I will not change my thought or reviews on this establishment. BE CAREFUL! DON'T FALL FOR THE PRETTY CARS AND YELP REVIEWS. Only decided to compromise with us when we gave them a bad review on Yelp. What a joke! Even requested for us to remove the review! More
