What Others Say

I have purchased three personal vehicles from STAR Mazda in the last 15 years(good experience, obviously)**** 4 stars I have had various service experiences, during that time. Most recently Nathon has been good. Service costs foolish!!!! Service this last year (I have photo shots of offers)a study in bait and switch. I make an appointment in writing for a service at one price. I set appointment. I get confirmation a day or two later at a more expensive price. Same service $$$ more in writing---STAR LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER--service manager , with whom I spoke, following company line, so can't really blame him-------------rating for service ** 2 stars--- the are two Mazda dealers nearby who are more consistent in pricing and consistency---Star lost a long time customer---

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Shop anywhere else but here, other Mazda dealerships in the city will treat you much better. they are completely unprofessional, and they WILL SCAM YOU. I bought a certified preowned 2023 vehicle from here with 4000 miles, discovered an issue, and brought it in 2 days after purchase. it's now been 3 months, and they are ignoring my calls. I have shown goodwill and talked to both service and sales managers who were respectful but failed to do anything about the issue and now I am stuck with a faulty, falsely advertised car. Shop anywhere else even if it will cost you more. HORRIBLE experience.

MY REVIEW REPORT CARD FOR GLENDALE STAR MAZDA IS A+ ON ALL POINTS LISTED BELOW with honorable mention to Nathon Madison *Service writers knowledgeable; problem solvers with technical aptitude *Transparent pricing (Cost per job- OEM & ASE expected @ dealership) *Customer Service equal priority (clean, happy, gracious, communicative) *Amenities (comfortable waiting areas with refreshment options, clean restrooms, comfortable temperature, shuttle service, loaners etc.) *Facility Operation clean, safe, organized and busy *Work warranty, parts guarantee, incentives, specials, considerations on a personal note: as this repair occurred during the 3rd year of a pandemic where it is known that parts are scarce and possibly OEM not available, and worker shortages & call-ins, there were some issues I experienced that were unexpected and I had to adjust my expectations accordingly. Mr. Nathon Madison sent me home in a loaner car then called me daily, sent me photos, did everything but hold my hand - and had I gone down there, I'm sure he would have. Once completed, some costs were absorbed where necessary, my car cleaned, vacuumed & Armor-All-ed tires! Exquisite!

When you go through dealer service, maybe it's expected that you'll have to take out a bank loan and possibly leave your firstborn before you get your car back in working condition, but you at least hope to get something for your money in that significant mark-up. For whatever reason, whether it's the pandemic necessitating labor cuts or internal changes in the service department itself, the service here really seems to have gone downhill fast. It's not a great feeling to historically spend thousands of dollars at a service department, and thousands even in a single trip, and get absolute no-frills treatment at a premium labor cost of 2-3x times the market rate. No waiving of the ridiculous 3.99 credit fee on a significant repair, excessive wait time to get the car after the department said it was ready (there were plenty of spots they could have left it so I could leave right after processing), and no car wash to top it all off (maybe think about fixing the wash roller - this is a small touch that goes a long way). Will be avoiding in the future and suggest you do the same.

Great customer service. I worked with Sam on a warranty repair and it was an outstanding experience. Considerate, accommodating, and genuine. I felt totally taken care of as a customer.

WORST customer service from Sales Manager Tyson. Sales guy on the phone says they will match another dealer’s quote. So I get down there, show the quote. Sales guy offers a number. Checks with Manager and comes back with a number $3000 higher. They say they don’t always match quotes. Eddie has bad customer service but Tyson, he’s gotta be the worst manager ever. Downright worst. Can’t even have a clean car for test drive? It was dusty, dirty mats and had cobwebs. these guys are liars. They don’t honor their word and don’t know how to treat customers. Don’t deserve your business.
