What Others Say

If I could give Jerry Durant Chevrolet zero stars, I would. They kept my wife’s Suburban for two weeks despite it being covered by both the factory and extended warranties. Throughout that time, we received conflicting information, unanswered calls and texts, changing repair timelines, promises that were never kept, and more damage than when we took the vehicle to them. We were initially told diagnosis would take four to five days. Service Manager Dusty first blamed the delay on the vehicle’s complexity, then changed his explanation and admitted the department was backed up. If that was the real issue, the dealership should not have scheduled the appointment or misrepresented the reason for the delay. When my wife was stranded in Granbury, Dusty told us there were no loaners and that we could pay approximately $65 per day for a rental because “that’s how Chevy does it.” I had to research Chevrolet’s rental-assistance policy myself and provide the applicable bulletin information. Only after contacting General Manager Tyler did a loaner suddenly become available. We were then told a replacement valve body had been ordered and would arrive the next day. Later, Dusty said no replacement had been ordered and that they planned to repair the existing one. We were promised tracking information but never received it, followed by another seven or eight days without an update. A source also told me—and sent me a photograph indicating—that the Suburban remained on the service rack throughout its stay. That raises serious questions about what work was performed and why we were repeatedly given inconsistent information. After pickup, the Suburban began shaking violently at approximately 40 mph, and the front passenger-side wheel or tire area made a roaring noise loud enough for me to hear over the phone. The dealership’s response was essentially that it was no longer their problem. I have tried contacting management and others higher within the Jerry Durant organization without receiving any meaningful response or resolution. This appears to be more than one employee’s failure; it gives the impression that Jerry Durant Dealerships simply do not care about customer service or accountability. Before this, I was shopping for a new truck and considering moving part of my company fleet to Chevrolet. I will now reconsider purchasing from both Jerry Durant and GM. We took the Suburban to Huffines because, after this experience, I would not trust Jerry Durant Chevrolet to install a valve-stem cap. I cannot recommend trusting this dealership with your vehicle, your money, or your family’s safety. I agree that it was not part of the repair, but it was caused by your methods of leaving it suspended for an extended period of time. Lovely how you respond on here but not to my emails or phone calls. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN YOUR CARE, CUSTODY, AND CONTROL; Furthermore you are refusing to take responsibility for it!!!!

I took my Yukon in for a problem with the brakes slipping on sudden stops. I was charged for a new battery and an alignment after they kept my vehicle 6 days. The tech said , “I couldn’t make the brake light come on because the battery voltage is too low.” I said the brake light doesn’t come on - the brakes fail. He informed me he HAD to put in a battery to figure it out. Then … no light came on - no surprise to me, it never has. I said drive it and brake suddenly; they will slip. He still couldn’t look at the physical brake pads or drive it to find an issue. $400 later (battery and alignment), AND I still have to take my car to a REAL mechanic to get the brakes fixed. Ridiculous gaslighting and overcharging. Do NOT go. Drive to Fort Worth or Weatherford.

avoid unless you have unlimited time , everyone moves at a snails pace ,techs seem unconcerned

Took my canyon in for an oil change and within 20 minutes of driving off the lot warning lights started coming on. I took it back and they said the diagnostic report didn’t tell them what was wrong, but it had nothing to do with anything they had done. When I called to make an appointment to let them diagnose the problem I was told I would have to leave the vehicle with them for 2-3 days just for them to look at it. Went in with a perfectly running vehicle and came out with problems that they of course don’t even want to make a priority to help with. If you just want an oil change, go to a place that specializes in oil changes - not one that will benefit by your check engine light coming on afterwards.

The service department is very inexperienced. My truck would turn over but wouldn’t start after coming out of the grocery store. I had it towed to Jerry’s because it was so close even though I had a bad experience with them already. 1 week in they said they still couldn’t diagnose the problem. After two weeks they said it was the wires and spark plugs. Cost $1300 almost $800 of the was “labor”. Then called and said that didn’t fix it that I would need a new engine, $9800. I laughed because the last place I’d ever install an engine would be there. They said well we can’t get it started still. Three weeks after taking it in I picked it up and took it home. Replaced the battery the ruined and it started right up. Drained the gas because I figured bad gas was the problem in the first place. Put in new gas and it runs like a charm. In conclusion, I’m out: $300 towing fees $200 battery the ruined $1300 in parts and labor it didn’t need at all. Over bad gas 🤣🤣 They said I needed a new engine. RUN!!!!!! There’s a reason their reviews are terrible!!!!!

Stay away, this dealership has had my truck for 3 months and counting to replace my bumper. It’s a one week job!!!! Stay away!!!!
