What Others Say

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to share it. I purchased a used Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG 63 after finding it online and speaking with Joel, who was professional and helpful throughout the process. Before making the three-hour drive to the dealership, I advised Joel that I had a trade-in and intended to use my own financing. He indicated neither would be a problem. Upon arrival, we learned the vehicle was not Certified Pre-Owned because of a cigarette smoke odor, the dealership claimed they could not get out. We also noticed a cracked passenger taillight, overspray and paint runs on the passenger quarter panel, and evidence of paint repair despite no accident history being disclosed on the CarFax. During the test drive, I noticed the steering wheel was off-center and questioned whether the vehicle had been properly aligned. I was told new tires had been installed and the alignment had been completed. When I attempted to negotiate based on the vehicle's condition, we were referred to Used Car Manager, Barry Rudin, who was unwilling to negotiate and significantly undervalued our trade-in compared to other offers we had received. Barry also insisted that if we traded in our vehicle, we would need to finance through the dealership rather than use our own lender. He repeatedly pushed the Zurich package after I declined it multiple times, claiming it could not be removed because it had already been applied to the vehicle, which was false. After threatening to leave, Barry finally removed the Zurich package. Despite our concerns, my wife loved the vehicle, and we decided to move forward with the purchase, knowing we will refinance. After bringing the vehicle home, I discovered the cabin air filters were extremely dirty and had not been replaced by M-B of Oxnard. After replacing them at my own expense ($129), the cigarette odor the dealership claimed could not be removed virtually disappeared. I sent photos to Joel. I also had the vehicle inspected by an alignment shop, due to my concerns and steering wheel being off centered, and learned the tires were significantly out of balance and the vehicle was out of alignment. I paid $289.90 to correct both issues and provided the documentation to Joel. Joel advised that Sales Manager Shawn would contact me regarding these concerns, but I have never received a call. Most recently, the vehicle began displaying an engine-related warning and will no longer remote start. I sent that information as well and have not received a response. Used vehicles can have issues. My concern is the lack of transparency regarding the vehicle's condition, the pressure applied during financing and add-on sales, and the lack of follow-up after the sale despite multiple documented concerns. While Joel was professional throughout the process, my overall experience with Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard fell well short of the standards I expected from a Mercedes-Benz dealership.

If you need to purchase a part, go see Weldon. You can tell he genuinely loves his job, and it shows in the service he provides. We had each other laughing the whole time, and he made the experience easy and enjoyable. The part arrived the very next day, and he called me immediately so I could pick it up. Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard — give that man a raise!

I purchased a used vehicle this past weekend M-B, Oxnard & was presently surprised with the sales process. (I normally compare purchasing a car to having a tooth pulled at the dentist). From the moment I walked in & Hugo H. started helping me it was a very professional exchange. Everyone from sales manager, finance manager, etc., was very service oriented. Special shout out to Kimberly another salesperson on floor when I walked in & she was super friendly, helpful even though I was working with Hugo. Thanks to the Team at Mercedes=Benz @ Oxnard, for the great experience!

Outstanding Service from Mario Mario provided exceptional service throughout the entire process of purchasing our new car. From the very beginning, he was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of our questions, explained every detail clearly, and made sure we felt comfortable and confident with our decision. What truly stood out was his honesty and dedication—there was never any pressure, just genuine support and excellent customer care. Mario made the experience smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable. We are very grateful for his help and would highly recommend Mario to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. He truly goes above and beyond. Thank you, Mario! From the Ortiz Family

Very disappointed in the service department. When I called to make annual service appointment. I was not aware my car warranty expired. Took my car for an oil change. When I checked in, they never told me there would be a charge for my visit. After my car was complete I was told I owed 400.00. I questioned why I was being charged. I was told they told me when I made my appointment that my warranty expired. They absolutely never said anything because I would have asked how much my service would cost and would NEVER agree to a $400.00 oil change and car wash. Very disappointed that I never got notification from Mercedes of my warranty expired and that I was lied to by service department that they told me ahead of time. Updated Review: Mercedes Manager, Matt Kelleher, immediately called me after receiving my email and my concerns. Matt apologized and we agreed upon a resolution that was satisfactory to my original complaint. I was very impressed that Matt called me on a Sunday within an hour of me sending the email. This is great customer service acknowledging in a timely manner. Thank you Matt!

Dishonest Sales Tactics – Beware I drove 2 hours from Upland to buy a used 2024 Ford Mustang from Mercedes-Benz of Oxnard after being quoted $39,900 over the phone by a rep named Hugo. When I arrived, they added a surprise $1,400 "Zurich Shield" fee that was never mentioned — not on the phone, not online, nowhere. When I pushed back, the manager, Charles, was dismissive and claimed it was in the fine print. Even Hugo admitted he never told me about the charge. As a disabled paraplegic, it took extra effort to make the trip, and I feel misled and taken advantage of. Shady, deceptive, and unethical. Avoid this dealership unless you enjoy hidden fees and wasted time.
