Title: Misrepresentation, Poor Communication, and No Accountability I recently purchased a 2023 Tesla Model Y from Lou Fusz Toyota believing it to be the Long Range AWD, as both the advertisement and the Carfax clearly stated. After noticing the range was far lower than expected (214 miles at 80% charge instead of ~264), I found the original Tesla window sticker in the glove box confirming it was actually the Standard Range AWD model. When I brought this to management, the initial response was dismissive. When I brought up the mileage discrepancy I was told, “What is that, something you read on Reddit?” “We already gave you $1k off.” despite me providing direct proof and pictures that this vehicle was not what was advertised. Once the mistake was confirmed with Tesla, there was no genuine apology — instead, I was being sold on that this battery setup was somehow the same and could be “charged to 100% regularly” (also not true). I asked if they could find me a Tesla Model Y Long Range like I had intended on purchasing and I was told “That would be impossible and the only other option would be to return it.” The manager asked me to come in at 10 AM and he would cut a refund check to take to my bank but when I arrived, I was told this manager wasn’t even coming in until noon. A finance manager stepped in had us sign a paper and said it would be handled by their back office. They didn’t mention this process of mailing a check could take 10+ days leaving me without a vehicle waiting for this vehicle to be paid off. From purchase to delivery, the experience was frustrating. I had requested to sign paperwork online so my wife, the co-signer, wouldn’t have to miss work. After doing it all on-line I was rushed in only to sit for several hours to sign paperwork that took less then 10 minutes and told I would have to drive back up the next to day with additional paperwork my wife would have to sign when I got home. When trying to leave I learned service installed the plate holder with the wrong screws, damaging it, and then told me parts would have to be ordered and I would have to come back. I understand this is not a Teslas dealership but I was never given an apology moreso treated as an inconvenience. Even after all this as I’m writing this the cars still incorrectly advertised on the Lou Fusz site, CarGurus and Autotrader as a 2023 Tesla Model Y LONG RANGE…
Thanks Bones, I love my new tundra. I appreciate you making the whole sale go smoothly. With no hassle. Highly recommend lou fusz toyota.
Ask for Jim Bones Donahue!! Made the transaction super quick and easy with no surprises.
I purchased my 2024 4-Runner from Jim Donohue at Lou Fusz Toyota. The process was quick and easy, and Jim was extremely helpful. They also purchased my used 4-Runner for a very fair price. I won't go anywhere else!
I just bought my new Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid from Jim “Bones” Donohue at Lou Fusz Toyota and the entire buying experience was wonderful. Bones provided a “no pressure” selling attitude and was patient in answering all of my questions. This was my first time buying from this dealership and with the excellent customer service I received would definitely shop with them again.
