Sometimes the Best Family Plans Involve a Little Dirt
There's the family SUV that handles school, groceries, and soccer practice.
Then there's the family SUV that makes you want to see what's at the end of that forest road.
This 2026 Acadia AT4 manages to be a little of both. Active Torque Control AWD, all-terrain tires, performance suspension, and a skid plate give it some extra confidence when a weekend near Mt. Rainier involves gravel roads, muddy trailhead parking, or weather that didn't exactly match the forecast. And with three rows and seating for seven, you don't have to leave half the family behind to enjoy it.
What is surprising about this particular AT4 is how comfortable it is once you're back on pavement. It has Super Cruise for compatible roads, a Head-Up Display, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, Bose® 12-speaker audio, and a 15-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in. That's a pretty nice combination when the trailhead is two hours away and someone in the back is already asking how much longer.
That's what makes this Acadia interesting compared with a more traditional three-row crossover. It's still comfortable enough for Monday morning, but it's a little more prepared when Saturday's plans take you somewhere less predictable.
