Most three-row SUVs are designed to blend into family life. This new 2026 Ford Explorer ST 4WD adds something usually missing from that formula: real performance. Its 3.0L EcoBoost V6, sport-tuned suspension, red performance brakes, quad-tip exhaust, and confident four-wheel drive give it the character of a performance vehicle while retaining the passenger room and flexibility expected from an Explorer. Carbonized Gray Metallic keeps the look sharp and understated. A black mesh grille, ST badging, Explorer hood lettering, skid-plate elements, LED lighting, privacy glass, and large 21-inch aluminum wheels give the exterior a low, athletic stance. Power-heated auto-folding mirrors with ST projection lamps and a power liftgate add convenience without softening the design. The driving experience is where this Explorer separates itself. The twin-turbocharged 3.0L EcoBoost V6 works with a 10-speed automatic transmission for strong acceleration and confident passing power. Selectable drive modes allow the vehicle to adapt to different roads and conditions, while the sport-tuned suspension and performance brakes help it feel controlled and responsive. The Class III Trailer Tow Package adds useful capability for a boat, trailer, or recreational equipment. This is still a practical seven-passenger SUV when the drive is over. Second-row captains chairs make it easier to reach the third row and give passengers more personal space. The PowerFold third-row seat can quickly create additional cargo room for luggage, sports gear, groceries, or larger purchases. Heated second-row seating, tri-zone comfort, USB-C ports in every row, and a 110-volt outlet help keep everyone comfortable and connected. The Sun and Sound Package changes the atmosphere inside. A panoramic moonroof brings more light into the cabin, the 14-speaker B&O sound system delivers premium audio, and multicontour front seats add another level of comfort. Heated and ventilated front seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient lighting, red stitching, and Onyx seating with Miko inserts reinforce the STs performance-focused identity. Ford Digital Experience is presented through a 13.2-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
