This is the first of many PSA posts warning those that (like me) might actually still trust and believe there's some good in the auto sales industry. Don't believe it!!!!! McSweeney Chevrolet GMC in Clant (like me) might actually still trust and believe there's some good in the auto sales industry. Don't believe it!!!!! McSweeney Chevrolet GMC in Clanton, AL is the next one in a long line of crooked dealerships to get me. The thing that really unnerves me is that they always do it while smiling at me. I bought a vehicle from them - they were supposed to have several services completed on the vehicle BEFORE I drove it off the lot. I was at the dealership from 9:15am-6:25pm and it was dark when they brought the vehicle around. One thing they were to repair was a star crack in the windshield - which they DID NOT repair. The other items - rotate tires, replace engine & cabin air filters, system fluids, detail interior of vehicle, wash exterior of vehicle - NONE OF WHICH WERE COMPLETED. The only item completed was the bass fish painting was removed from back window. The temporary tag (which they never put in the truck and I had to request after returning home to Georgia) was dated January 6, 2024 - January 26, 2024. I purchased the vehicle in 2025!!! I went to the Georgia Tag office to get my tag and they have no record of the vehicle yet. I contacted the dealership and found out the process had not been started yet. I was contacted by the dealership and asked WHERE THEY NEEDED TO SEND THE PAPERWORK TO!!! I am pretty sure it is their job to get that information but I looked it up. I waited 5 days and went back to the tag office and was told again there was NO INFORMATION FROM THE ALABAMA DEALERSHIP on the vehicle. When I told the Georgia Tag office that the dealership had given me a 2024 temporary tag and had not given me a corrected on, the GEORGIA TAG OFFICE PROVIDED ME WITH A VALID TEMPORARY TAG FOR MY VEHICLE THAT I PURCHASED from McSweeney Chevrolet GMC in Alabama. I have been respectful and cordial to each individual at the dealership, hoping it would cause them to do the right thing. It has not and apparently will not. This is only the first of many negative reviews I will be processing on this dealership. CLAIRE RIPP was my Sales Person and she was THE ONLY GOOD PART ABOUT THIS ENTIRE PROCESS. More

While they were crunching the numbers Zoe Lockhart provided refreshments and kept us comfortable, and stress free. At the end of the day we left with a brand new Tahoe and a brand new Wrangler! Everyone at McSweeny is always professional,kind, and helpful. The service team does a great job at not spilling oil everywhere in the engine bay and no greasy fingerprints everywhere like some places leave behind .
