I found a used pickup online that I had been following for at least 4 or 5 days before I was able to make it to the dealership. It was in great shape and priced reasonably, so I agreed to buy it in cash. for at least 4 or 5 days before I was able to make it to the dealership. First, they told me that I wouldn’t be able to take it home because they needed to correct a TPMS issue, clear coat the vehicle, and replace a bad fog light. Then they made me wait an hour to do my paperwork. I finally found Joe in the back room and got him to print it so I could leave - he was sitting and listening to football game while I waited. After waiting a week to pick up the vehicle, I finally convinced them to put the spare tire under the truck bed and took it home. The truck was never detailed or clear coated, but they did fix the fog light. After 3000 miles, I took my truck to my mechanic that has been incredibly honest with my entire family for 25 years and found out that I needed new pads, rotors, and shims for the rear brakes. Foundation gave me a report that stated I had 8mm remaining on the brakes when I bought it, but somehow they were down to 2mm in only 3000 miles without towing anything. I was told that they didn’t trust my mechanic and they wouldn’t be reimbursing me for the brakes. DO NOT TRUST THEIR INSPECTIONS. They’ve shown very little integrity in following up and almost never call back when they say they will. Buyer beware. This is the epitome of a shady used car buying experience. More
