Welcome to Corwin Toyota where we like to tack on additional fees and waste your time even though we know you drove 8 hours to pickup a vehicle, I had to tell them no 3-4 times when asked if I would additional fees and waste your time even though we know you drove 8 hours to pickup a vehicle, I had to tell them no 3-4 times when asked if I would like gap or other protection packages etc… we just wanted to head back home since it’s a long drive & ended up being there for 3 hours just waiting on Rocky to “Print Paperwork” upon being showed the paperwork I mentioned the price we agreed on was not correct on there he had it at 72k financed when it was supposed to be 68,xxx that was the first red flag, then he had to tweak the numbers 3 times to get it corrected, kept asking if I wanted to add gap for $19 a month I again said no, upon arriving home I noticed yet again another Delivery/Handling fee that had no reason being on there I had made this a point that I didn’t agree to any fees and if they could waive them we would have a deal and they originally agreed. However once I showed up this was not the case. The vehicle had a decent sized dent in the front quarter panel that was not disclosed and I didn’t notice until the next day when it was sunny outside, I contacted them about these issues and can’t gotten a response. You are there number 1 priority when you have money and are gunna sign papers but after that they just tell you to kick rocks. Can’t say I’d be buying another car from them anytime soon. After seeing all the negative reviews I chose to not believe them and regret doing so. More

My experience with Corwin Toyota Boulder was frustrating, time-consuming, and ultimately disappointing — especially for an out-of-state buyer. I feel obligated to share my situation in detail so others can m time-consuming, and ultimately disappointing — especially for an out-of-state buyer. I feel obligated to share my situation in detail so others can make informed decisions. I purchased a used Toyota Sienna from this dealership with the understanding that the title and registration process would be handled appropriately. I submitted all required documentation immediately after purchase — including smog, VIN verification, and weight certificate — and yet the dealership took over four months to release the title. During that time, my temporary tag was close to expiration, and I had to personally visit the DMV multiple times to finalize the registration in California. Because of the dealership’s delay, I was forced to pay $1,460.62 out-of-pocket for registration, license plate, and city use tax fees — all of which were not included in the purchase agreement and should have been addressed during the sale. While I appreciate the help I eventually received from Mariana (Title Clerk) and Leslie (Controller), I received no communication whatsoever from the leadership team throughout this process — including: Greg Heinz – General Manager Zachary Chambers – Used Car Manager Soukanh Douangdara – Finance & Insurance Manager Craig Harlan – Internet Sales Manager the General Manager (Greg Heinz) — Greg Heinz – General Manager until I escalated the matter and indicated I would file complaints. When the GM finally responded, instead of acknowledging the communication failure or the burden placed on me, he accused me of “blackmail” for simply stating I would file complaints and leave a factual public review. His exact quote was: “We will pay for any fees that you incurred due to the tardiness of your ability to register the car, but the registration expenses themselves have always been your responsibility and we will not be black-mailed into paying them.” Let me be clear: I never demanded anything beyond fairness and accountability. To be met with that tone from a General Manager was both inappropriate and disappointing. I’ve taken the following steps, and I stand by all of them: Submitted a formal report to Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center, where I already have an open case. Filed a complaint with the Colorado DMV Auto Industry Division. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Shared this 1-star review publicly across platforms including Google, Yelp, and DealerRater — and I will not be removing it. The dealership has now clearly stated that they will not cover registration and city tax fees, and that stance will not change. So to any out-of-state buyer: Be cautious. Review your purchase agreement carefully before signing. Triple-check who is responsible for registration and fees. And most importantly — get everything in writing. Miscommunication can cost you both time and money. This review is not about the money — it’s about how this dealership handled a situation that should have been simple, and how poor communication and leadership turned it into months of unnecessary stress. I will not be removing this review. It stands as an honest account of my experience with Corwin Toyota Boulder. More
