I brought my Jeep into Keffer for repairs and $6,000 later my Jeep came out worse than when I took it to them. My husband and I brought our 2016 Jeep to Keffer for a torque converter issue. We knew o later my Jeep came out worse than when I took it to them. My husband and I brought our 2016 Jeep to Keffer for a torque converter issue. We knew our Jeep had a warranty and so we wanted to bring it to a dealership to get, what we thought would be, excellent service. The maintenance department ended up replacing my entire transmission, and it appeared, and I was told, that the warranty covered all of it except for my deposit. They also, without asking me, replaced the front ball joints. Which my warranty also covered. Fast forward to about 20 miles later. I was heading down the highway going around 75 mph and there was an audible and physical vibration in the front drivetrain of my Jeep that was not there before I took my Jeep to Keffer. Fast forward about 300 miles to see family for Thanksgiving and we park the car, and lo and behold there's a leak. My husband climbed under there and it was oil and transmission fluid. So as soon as we got back into town we took the Jeep back to keffer and noted not only the leak underneath but also the vibration in the front drive shaft. I get a call back the next day from the tech saying that the transmission lines are leaking, which is a common issue, I was told, when you change out the transmission. They called the warranty company and at that time the first warranty had expired and we only now have a powertrain warranty. So the warranty company has not going to cover the transmission line. The tech even called me and asked if I would call a warranty company and plead with them. To which I did, two times. I then asked if they drove my Jeep to see if they could replicate the audible noise and the vibration in the front drivetrain, to which the tech told me yes. And then he rattled off several front drive train parts that also needed to be replaced. I told them that in regards to the transmission lines, I brought them a non-leaking transmission that only needed a new torque converter. They decided to get the warranty company to replace the entire transmission, and they replaced it, so if it's leaking now and it wasn't before, I thought that they should make it right by replacing that line. I was denied this part not only by the tech, but by the manager Jurgos. I then asked to speak with the manager, and he and I spoke for several minutes about why I thought they should be responsible for what they broke, and he said that he would look into the conversations that I had with the tech and listen to the recordings and get back to me the next day. He never got back to me. I gave him 3 days. I went to pick up my Jeep a couple days later, and refused to sign the paperwork that said, I denied the service. In regards to them having tests driven my vehicle, that was a lie. The mileage at which I dropped my vehicle off was exactly the same as when I picked it up. I have photo evidence of that. So I came in with a warranty, and they saw me as a cash cow. I don't know if they treated me this way because I was a woman without her husband there, or they treated me this way because they have no integrity. I think it's probably a little bit of both. But they charged $4,000 in labor alone for the transmission replacement. And $800 per ball joint for the front end. But they were going to make a big stink about $180 part to make it right. I wasn't even asking them to fix the front drive train. My jeep now leaks, and vibrates over 75Mph, both of which it didn't do before I brought it to them. Do not take your vehicle to them. More
