My purchase of a 2018 Ram 2500 at Lithia Chevrolet GMC of Helena was by far the worst dealership experience that I have ever had. This experience involved the remote purchase of a vehicle, relying on staff d Helena was by far the worst dealership experience that I have ever had. This experience involved the remote purchase of a vehicle, relying on staff description and promises with transactions done remotely. I take full responsibility for not being vigilante during this transaction, and so you should note that you must be on top of everything. During vehicle search and sale, salesperson was accommodating and beyond helpful. However, post-sale, I quickly learned that the only thing that mattered to this dealership from sales to financing staff was the purchase of an over-priced, extended warranty. After they had my signature, it was one gaff after another. Whether it was through incompetence, just not giving a xxxx, or a combination of both, they are simply awful. I e-mailed the dealership General Manager and never received a reply. I did not do my homework on warranties. If you do decide to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, you should note that you can get better warranties for much less through higher-rated warranty companies such as Line 5 or Endurance. Some highlights of my experience are as follows: • On September 19, I negotiated a sales price of $27,400 (from listed $28,400) IF I purchased auto warranty and used Lithia Driveway financing. Everything was very high-pressured to do things that night and I should have refused to conduct the sale in such a manner. Shame on me for not catching that sales docs listed vehicle at $27,800. Dealership would not sell me a warranty below $5,000. • Salesperson had repeatedly mentioned how well cared for the truck had been and that they knew the vehicle owner who had traded it in. I learned after the sale that the truck had been driven with almost all of its $130k miles with a large gooseneck trailer for a construction business. The bed of the pickup, (the one area with no good photos on website) was trashed. I let them talk me out of having a third party mechanic inspect truck, so shame on me. But they knowingly misrepresented the use and condition of the truck. • I was promised by salesperson that my truck would ship on Monday, September 22. That they could have it on a truck on September 22 if I closed on the 19th. I never heard from the salesperson or dealership again on shipping. I was contacted on September 25 by transport company that my truck would be shipping on September 29. I tried calling dealership and salesperson and calls were not returned. • On September 29, transport company called in evening from Missoula to verify my pick up of my GMC Acadia. I was confused as I had purchased a Ram 2500! Dealership had written down the VIN wrong and sent an Acadia instead of 2500 pickup truck! Dealership had to drive the truck I purchased 120 miles to Missoula to exchange the Acadia for the pickup truck. Throughout all of this, my only contact was with transport company as dealershiop would not return calls/ • After the wrong purchase price, misrepresenting vehicle condition and use, and ghosting me about transportation, I made a written request to have my warranty with Driveway canceled. The sales manager nor finance company would return multiple phone calls and e-mails to provide me with the cancellation paperwork. I ended up having to go through multiple channels with Driveway National to get the paperwork. It took from October 8 to December 10 to be refunded for the warranty. • It took from September 19 to December 2 for my state DMV to receive the sale and title paperwork from dealership. I had to get a temporary registration to bridge gap from temp license expiration to DMV having my paperwork. They then put the wrong sales price of $28,099 instead of actual sales price of $27,800, which left me paying a $50 higher tax bill than I should have (let alone, agreed upon sales was $27,400). More
