I recently had the unfortunate experience of buying a car from Planet Honda. Everything from the start was mishandled. I purchased the car in April and I am still waiting for several issues to be resolved. T from Planet Honda. Everything from the start was mishandled. They do not communicate with you in a timely manner !!!!! Also be aware that the sales person took my drivers license and credit card to his sales manager. He held them for several hours as we discussed the purchase. This was very concerning !! I was told that I could get them back as soon as we finished the paperwork?!?!? IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE THAT I HAVE EVER MADE !!!! DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM. I AM GOING TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NEW JERSEY CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT. More

I had a strange interaction with this dealer. I asked for a price on a car, and got a typical response to the effect of someone will call you. I responded that I work in an environment that is not condu for a price on a car, and got a typical response to the effect of someone will call you. I responded that I work in an environment that is not conducive to phone calls, but would be happy to communicate by text, or email. From there I exchanged many, many emails and texts with 3 different people at the dealership, all of which were courteous and fairly prompt, but non of which included a price for the car that I was looking at, this struck me as very strange. They also continued to call me, despite the fact I made it clear I couldn't answer the phone. I then made a fair offer on the car, and was told that it was declined. That's a fair part of negotiating, but I never received a counter offer. Two days later I was asked if I wanted to change my offer, but I still have no idea their asking price for the car is. I also received an email from the the President of the dealership, which I'm sure was just sent by a bot, but even replying to that email address couldn't get me any closer to numbers on a deal. Everyone was nice, but the whole thing was weird, like they didn't want to sell me the car, but felt like they had to keep up appearances. More

Drove home today with our new Honda Accord and couldn't be happier. Everything at Planet Honda seems designed to make a customer feel happy, appreciated, and safe. The consultant desks are spread out, th be happier. Everything at Planet Honda seems designed to make a customer feel happy, appreciated, and safe. The consultant desks are spread out, the receptionist immediately takes your temperature, plexiglass safety dividers are everywhere, and EVERYONE there wears a mask - for real. we felt very safe. Our consultant was Frank Talarico, and I cannot recall anyone I've bought a car from who was more friendly, low pressure, courteous, knowledgeable about his product, or more professional. We got a good price, the transaction was completed easily, and literally 2 hours after we arrived, we drove out in our new car. I read the reviews online before I went back to Planet Honda (I had bought a car there in 2013) and it is every bit as great now as it was then - I HIGHLY recommend this dealer. Ask for Frank, you will be happy you did! More

They want to steal my money I wish there was a 0 star, this is the worst dealership I been to. I was there 3/09/2020 at night trying to make a deal on a lease for a accord 1.5 af I wish there was a 0 star, this is the worst dealership I been to. I was there 3/09/2020 at night trying to make a deal on a lease for a accord 1.5 after some negotiation we agreed on a payment with $3,000 and a monthly payment of $399, because it was late they convinced me to leave a DEPOSIT of $500 and I was going to go the next day to finish the deal, after I gave the deposit the manager Danny Odoiboye told me to go not the next day but the following because he was going to be off, but he promised to leave everything ready that night for the finance people, so I agreed and left that night. The following morning 3/10/2020 he texted me saying they have to take me off the deal or it was not going to get approve so they wanted to only issue my cosigner, I told him that was not what we agreed so I was not going to proceed with the deal. So I went to another Honda dealer, Garden state Honda to be specific, I got approved there for the lease with a much lower monthly payment that they offered me with less money down, so I bought the car there. I went back to Planet to get my money back the the General Store Manager "President" William Feinstein told me " I hope garden will give you those 500 because we are not giving you anything back" so I told him they do so to that he said " Guess what there's only 1 attorney here and that not you it's me, you should read everything you sign" and I told him I never signed anything he told me to look at the copy of my contract so I told him I was never given one so I requested to see where I signed and said that deposit was non refundable, so he just showed me a contract with my name but no signature on which I showed more money down that what we agreed on and other added fees. I requested to have a copy of that and told him I was going to give it to my attorney he said " you can do what ever you want but you're not getting that money back because you bought somewhere else"..I have proof that I never signed that contract and I will not stop until I get my money back I will advise everyone to stay away from this dealer and if you do deal with them don't leave any deposits or if something happens they will not give it back. More
