I would expect someone who works as a service advisor to know the basics about vehicles including federal regulations. Trying to gaslight me into believing that a CEL will come on and cause the vehicle not know the basics about vehicles including federal regulations. Trying to gaslight me into believing that a CEL will come on and cause the vehicle not to work if you cover up sensors to make the vehicle think it’s dark and put the backlighting into night mode is as strange as it is ridiculous. Immediately starting out the conversation with we probably can’t fix it because our staff leave at 5PM when it’s 8 in the morning and before anyone gets a look at it, is asinine. I showed video proof of it happening, explained the conditions under which the issue occurs and they didn’t even put a single mile on the vehicle, so there was no way they even drove it to verify. And the service manager is no better for standing there and letting it continue. Then I get a print out that says that they did a complimentary video multi point inspection that I never saw. At under 2000 miles. Absolute nonsense. I’ve already reached out to Subaru of America and will be finding another dealer. More
