On 5/4/2020 Avant called our dealership regarding a Pre-Owned 2016 INFINITI Q50 [Stock #: A9320]. The customer was sent confirmation of the availability of the vehicle and videos of the vehicle as well. When Mr. Avant came In for a test drive later that day he was shown the CARFAX report indicating no accidents or damage reported. After discussing price the customer left the dealership and then came back to purchase the vehicle. Mr. Avant then posted a five star review of his experience appreciating how informative and honest we were. On 5/16/2020 Velko received an email from Mr. Avant, that the bumper on the left front side of the vehicle had come loose. Velko asked the customer to bring the vehicle in so we could check the bumper. Mr. Avant brought the vehicle in later that day. After the Service Department checked the bumper, they indicated that they could not fix it and it would need body work. Velko explained to Mr. Avant and he asked if he could turn the vehicle in and get another because he was about to move out of state the next day (5/17/2020). There was not another INFINITI Q50 AWD in stock, so the customer left the vehicle to us so we could get the bumper attached. On 5/18/2020 the bumper was reattached by a professional auto body tech. Velko sent the customer video of the bumper being tugged and pulled on showing it was intact. Mr. Avant had a friend come pick up the vehicle that same day. A month later on 6/16/2020 Velko received an email from Mr. Avant that the bumper had come loose again. Velko suggested that the customer come back to the dealership so we could take a look at it. The customer informed Velko that he was already out of state and wouldn’t come back to Georgia. Mr. Avant then asked if he could take the vehicle to another INFINITI dealership in Virginia. Dealerships are independently owned, and INFINITI of Gwinnett would not be responsible for another dealership’s work. On 7/13/2020 Velko received a review from Mr. Avant to inform him that he has to spend $1,800 for a new bumper and grille. His opinion is that the vehicle was in an accident and that the bumper was not fixed, but glued. That same day Velko called Mr. Avant and explained to him that the bumper was not glued, and had sent the customer videos to show it had been attached with he grille intact. Our company feel that we have given you supportive information to the contrary of your claims. We have provided the CARFAX report showing that the vehicle has never been in an accident or been damaged. When you first reported that the bumper had come unattached, we worked with you to quickly resolve the issue. There is video evidence showing that the bumper is fully intact and that the grille was not broken when it left the dealership on 5/18/2020.
