After having a bad experience at another Echo Park location where the salesman tried to strong arm me into using one of their lenders to get his kick back after spending FOUR HOURS sitting there, it w location where the salesman tried to strong arm me into using one of their lenders to get his kick back after spending FOUR HOURS sitting there, it was refreshing to come to Echo Park, Thornton and be treated with kindness, patience and respect by Victor. Victor was knowledgeable and professional in answering any questions I had during this process and he never once tried to pressure me into anything I wasn't comfortable with. Even though the process took a few days because of Labor Day weekend, Victor did his best to make this as painless as possible... and we all know how painful car shopping can be. More

On June 07, 2024 I financed a vehicle with echopark. Within 24 hours I reported electric and sensor issues with the vehicle. I scheduled a service appointment as adviced by one of the managers Tyler. I Within 24 hours I reported electric and sensor issues with the vehicle. I scheduled a service appointment as adviced by one of the managers Tyler. I asked the customer service representative if I could return the vehicle within 7 days if there were any issues with a new finance car, I was told that that was not a thing anymore. The service appointment was scheduled for June 09. The vehicle was taking in, we asked if the mechanics wanted to see videos of the issues as we had recorded the issues on video, the mechanics refused to see the video and a few minutes later came back to report that there was no issues with the car. Another report was made of similar issue on June 15 but was unable to schedule an appointment as their system was down. The issues continued, the vehicle completely stopped working, no power on the car, and left us stranded late at night with a toddler on June 22. Another appointment was scheduled for June 28th, as they didn't have any other appointment available earlier as their system was still down. We showed the mechanics the videos of the vehicle having no power at all when it left us stranded. A few minutes later, they reported that the issue was just to lose battery wire. The manager Tyler agreed to exchange the vehicle if the issues continues. The electric and sensory issues continued, the managers backed down on their agreement to exchange the vehicle because nore than 7 days had passed of having the vehicle even though their customer service shared returning the vehicle was not an option even eithin the first 7 days. They had me schedule another appointment for July 3rd. Managers informed me that they needed the vehicle for a couple days. They sent me home on a loaner vehicle. A few days later they contacted me to inform me that the issue they found was some bad sensors on the main computer of the vehicle. They said the car should be ready by the 10th of July. The car was not ready by July 10th, they had me come on on July 11th to trade in for another loaner vehicle as they shared they could only loan out vehicles for 7 days. They shared the car would be ready by the 17th, it was not ready the 17th. Then they said by the 19th, not ready the 19th. Then they said it would be ready by the 22nd, not ready on the 22nd. It is July 26th and the vehicle has not been fixed yet, the new date they provided is they hope to have it ready by July 29th. They are demanding for me to go in tomorrow to return the loaner vehicle even though my vehicle is not fixed yet. I would like echopark to cancel my finance agreement as they sold me a damaged car, gave me untrue information about being able to return the vehicle back within 7 days, I made a first payment on a vehicle that has been in their service shop more than with me. This is very disappointing. I have my communication with them saved on screenshot and also the paperwork they provided with notes after the service visits. I hope echopark reaches out to me to make things right. More

They straight up lied about several things throughout the sales process. Summary: they operate like every other used car dealership. Most of these issues are unavoidable no matter where you go, so I hope this gives people a preview of a few things to watch out for when buying a used car. I came in knowing the exact car that I wanted, and I already had financing lined up through my bank. Despite that, the sales team spent over an hour trying to sell me on financing that was horrible compared to what I came in with. I had a low APR, 48 month deal lined up, and I told them I was going with it unless they could beat the APR for the same length of term. They tried to get me to sign for 3% higher APR on a contract that was 3 years longer than my existing loan 😂 and then with a straight face, they repeatedly asked why I didn't want to use their financing. Other things that were annoying/dishonest: - Told me that I MUST purchase GAP insurance by law in Colorado. Their own paperwork states that GAP coverage is optional, and my bank told me that I didn't need it. FYI, if they suck you into GAP coverage and you don't want it - you can cancel it at any time in the future. Just call your bank. - Throughout the process, the salesperson did the classic "let me go back to my manager", "my manager is getting pissed", etc. high-pressure sales tactics when I asked to remove optional fees, upsells, GAP coverage, and more. The salesperson went back and forth at least 4 times and each time took 15-30 minutes. Reminder: I already had financing, and we had already agreed on the price! This should have taken 5 minutes, but took almost 2 hours. - Claimed that my credit score was 80 points lower than it is even though I verified it beforehand through Experian & Equifax. - Added a $600 charge for (I'm still not 100% sure) putting on the license plate frame and cleaning the car, and a warranty for paint + interior that seems worthless from what I've read. I said that I didn't want it and they said it was not negotiable. If you want $600 more per car, just increase the price of the car. This is a classic tactic to avoid bait and switch laws - their sticker price is "lower", but then they have high fees for unsubstantial, unwanted add-ons. I came here because I heard that Echo Park doesn't haggle prices. Turns out, it's worse - they haggle on details that were never negotiable for me in the first place, and they shouldn't be for any savvy buyer. Despite telling them up front that I did not want a warranty, GAP coverage, and many other things that they try to add to a sale. Who on earth would take a higher APR + higher length deal if they do not care about the monthly payment. Insane lol. I know this is how every used car dealership works - just want to let people know what to look out for before they go in :) don't be scared to call dealerships out on their xx More
