Brought my truck here for the first time in nov of 2023 for a warrantied transmission replacement. It took them 3 months to even touch my truck and i had to drive up there to find out it was still in the s for a warrantied transmission replacement. It took them 3 months to even touch my truck and i had to drive up there to find out it was still in the same parking spot i dropped it off in while they lied to me about what the current status was, saying it was being worked on already. then after having to show up almost once a week, 2.5 months after starting the work, (over 5 months total for a single transmission at this point), they finally finished it and said it was ready. All for it to last me 2 months and now it's right back in the shop with the exact same issue and it's taken them 3.5 months this time and no sign of it being finished soon. they refuse to give me accurate information about when my truck will be ready or about what work they're even doing to it. about 10 months total of it being with them in the past year, and they still can't even do a 12 hour trans swap. would never recommend these guys if they were the last ones in the world. More

If I could give a ZERO STAR rating I would. This service department is shady. Refuse to fix an issue that wasn't there before. We had always been fond of our car - we took it to the dealersh This service department is shady. Refuse to fix an issue that wasn't there before. We had always been fond of our car - we took it to the dealership to have recall work done. After it was returned we can not get the lug nuts off the car to do any additional service needed. The manager Travis will not call me back and Joe who we worked with was both condescending and rude - blaming us and the fact that we live in Charleston along with the fact the car has "100,000 miles on it". We want nothing more then for them to replace our lug nuts and they will not do it. Very sad that this is what Palmetto Ford thinks is acceptable behavior. Scheduled an appointment for AC issue with my Ford Mustang. Appointment was three weeks away. Get there and they tell me the car will not be seen for two more weeks. With no loaner vehicle. Luckily Al Mustang. Appointment was three weeks away. Get there and they tell me the car will not be seen for two more weeks. With no loaner vehicle. Luckily Allen pulled strings and got my car in right away and treated me right. Truly appreciate him. More

What an amazing turn around for the service department! last week I submitted a comment on the service department as they did not have the part needed for the recall I made an appointment and traveled 27 m last week I submitted a comment on the service department as they did not have the part needed for the recall I made an appointment and traveled 27 miles to have done. Within minutes of my post the service manager reached out to me to make this situation right. I am so very impressed with their dedication to customer service and to Jeff who came out to do the recall at my home today. Thank you for putting the service back in customer service! You have gained a loyal customer. More

DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND OWNER FOR NOT RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS I have a 2014 Ford Fusion with less than 75,000 miles on it. Car was making a whining noise, brought it to Firestone, they RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS I have a 2014 Ford Fusion with less than 75,000 miles on it. Car was making a whining noise, brought it to Firestone, they replaced the serpentine belt tensioner and the alternator; car continued to make same noise, so Firestone recommended bringing it to Ford dealership. I was not charged for parts or labor by Firestone as they owned up to their mistake. Ford finally able to see me after approx 3 weeks time; their diagnostics said the noise was coming from the alternator. I informed them that alternator was brand new; they said Firestone used wrong alternator. Ford then replaced the alternator but noise continued. Ford then stated it was water pump which they replaced. I was charged for both services and labor. I then took Firestones alternator back to them, explained what happened at Ford; they tested the alternator and it passed and did not make any noise. I do not feel that Ford should have charged me for the alternator as that appears to never have been the problem. Of note, the car has less than 75k miles and this is the third alternator and third water pump. In Fords favor was them giving me a nice rental vehicle while work was being done but then only deducted $500 from total bill of over $3000. I am very upset that I had to pay for the alternator/labor as it appears that it was never faulty. I left multiple messages for the owner to call me to discuss this as the service manager said he could not take any more of the charges off but never heard from him. More

Worst customer service ever experienced. Manager literally hung up on me-the place lost my car. Then found my car. Had a service team member tell say “looks like another one that got towed in and we literally hung up on me-the place lost my car. Then found my car. Had a service team member tell say “looks like another one that got towed in and we didn’t even touch it.” Apparently, this happens a lot. Was Travis helpful in any way? No. In fact, he laughed at my predicament. I have never had the treatment I received from this place-and Travis himself! More

The service department is inept at best and unethical at worst. They did work on my vehicle on a part that was covered by a recall. They never alerted me about the recall but I found out about it within t worst. They did work on my vehicle on a part that was covered by a recall. They never alerted me about the recall but I found out about it within two days of the work being completed. I made them aware and they said they would be mailing me a check for the cost of part and service. Check never came, managers refused to call me back, and finally they said I’d have to deal with Lincoln because they are not going to cover it. I absolutely feel like I was taken advantage and would never trust this group with my vehicle again. Take your vehicle anywhere else for service but avoid these guys. More
