Tonya was working on her computer, but didn’t acknowledge my presence or say “I’ll be with you in a minute”, nothing. Just ignored me probably for about 5 - 7 minutes. When I made the appointment via phone, I was told this 5,000 mile service would take 1 - 1 1/2 hours. When I checked in with Tonya, she also said 1 to 1 1/2 hours. The appointment took 2 hours and 15 minutes with zero communication about what was taking so long. When finally finished, I asked Tonya why it took so long. She said “they’re busy back there.” When I asked what exactly they did, she said tire rotation and full inspection. I asked why that took so long, she said the Landcruiser has a skid plate they have to drop down. But when I made the appointment and when I checked in, everyone knew I had the new Landcruiser and no one altered their estimate of 1 to 1 1/2 hours based on a skid plate. I’m all for a thorough and complete service, but I don’t like my time to be taken for granted. I also appreciate customer courtesy and it seems like Tonya could use some coaching on greeting customers in a timely manner. This first impression of McDonald Toyota was not a favorable one. More
