My daughter took her Toyota Camry to the dealership to have them check the battery. They came back and said that the battery was bad. I at that time asked about the warranty that was on the battery, he s have them check the battery. They came back and said that the battery was bad. I at that time asked about the warranty that was on the battery, he stated the technician said nothing about that. He would look into it. About an hour later he came back and told my daughter the car was ready. They had placed a battery in the car. I then asked why they put a new battery in when we had not agreed to that and wanted to know what the cost was. He said they could take the battery out. I said no. We wanted to know how much it was going to cost since it was still under the 84 months of warranty and we just are at the 3-year Mark. He said it would be 50% responsible on our part and 50% responsible on Toyota's part to pay. My daughter then asked well. What is the cost? He said then again they could just remove the battery. I said that's not what we want. We wanted to know what the cost was up front so that we could then make a decision. If we wanted the new battery. She then agreed to just keep the battery in the car this time. But I do want to express that if I had not spoke up about the warranty on the battery, I'm honestly not sure that he would have said anything different and she would have paid for a brand new battery. And I'm very disappointed, that, he told them to just put in a new battery without consulting my daughter first. My daughter may be young but I'm extremely disappointed that she was treated this way. The sticker on the battery was 7/21 and anyone that looked at the battery would notice that. Why wouldn't they come out and tell her that it would only cost her 50% of the cost and how much it would be before they just put in a new one. I'm very disappointed how this was handled. More
