New Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited Let me start off by saying: I hate car-shopping; but, such is life that I had to bite the bullet and start the process. Like many of the other reviews Let me start off by saying: I hate car-shopping; but, such is life that I had to bite the bullet and start the process. Like many of the other reviews on here, I sent out various emails and received more phone calls than I knew what to do with. To make things easier on me, I decided to go with the convenient route and head to the closest dealership, which was Cityside. I'm so glad that I did. I met with Tom who respected the fact I had done ample research and also compiled a quote that I felt was a fair price. Never during the process did he try to sell me on add-ons or questionable items and I really appreciated that. I felt that Tom also advocated for the price I wanted and that he would have regardless what price I named - whether or not it was ultimately accepted. Overall, Tom and the crew at Cityside made my experience great and I will be recommending them to friends and family - all of whom are lifetime Subaru drivers. Even if Cityside is out of the way, I highly recommend making the trip if you're thinking about buying a new car. More

I actually purchased the car on my first visit to the dealership after some email correspondence and found the whole experience enjoyable. I probably only spent 15 minutes in the dealership. Think about that for a minute. Why would I purchase a new STI so easily? I knew the vehicle I wanted which helped for sure, but also the way Tom deals with his clients is to help them get the car they need/want with the least hassle possible and the upper management team put together a fair price for the vehicle and value on my trade. I also spent time with Michael who also exhibited an honest, straightforward, pleasant, and likable personality and made a fair finance deal and what I believe to be a very reasonable 7 yr 100K warranty package for me. Michael even thanked me personally for choosing the extended warranty; I informed him that I chose it because the deal was fair but it was a very respectful and kind gesture to thank me for my business. I have also purchased some accessories from the parts department and so far the team there has been prompt and helpful and pleasant to do business with as well.. After the sale, I am welcomed to the dealership with any requests or questions and I get the sense that Tom and Michael and likely the rest of the team there are interested in building excellent customer service for years to come. More

Cooperative helpful staff work with your interests in mind I first visited this dealership on Sept. 26 where Alexey accompanied me as I test drove 3 vehicles. He offered to let me drive myself; as I was unfamiliar with Belmont, and had not purchased a car for 17 years, I was not secure. He was patient in explaining all the controls and gave me 3 good test drives. I was impressed with Subaru in general; but not comfortable with the Outback and Forester, which were so much bigger than my previous Ford Escort. I did not like the smaller Imprezza because of the lack of clear visibility out the back window. Two days later, I was "shopping" on line - ready to give Subaru another consideration because I did not like the other options I was turning up. I entered my ID info and Tom D'Alessandro called me. I explained that I had worked with Alex and Tom said they they work cooperatively at that dealership so I went in. I ended up buying a used Outback. Tom and Alex were both involved in the process at various points and shared the commission. Both of them (at separate times) let me know that one of the pleasures of working at CitySide is the cooperative atmosphere (and good product that sells itself). I now have a car I am totally pleased with, at a fair price, with a process that was marked by honesty, helpfulness and cooperation. I am grateful. More

No sneaky dealership games. Straightforward and honest. I decided that I wanted a 2015 STI at the tail end of June 2014. I sent out the usual number of emails and received a bunch of phone calls. I then p I decided that I wanted a 2015 STI at the tail end of June 2014. I sent out the usual number of emails and received a bunch of phone calls. I then proceeded to spend the day speaking with various people and getting "their absolute best price". Late in the day I got a call from Tom who cut right to the chase and gave me a price that beat everyone else. He didn't try to mark down my trade or say that I had to go over MSRP to get the car I wanted. He did not push me into getting a car that they had in stock because he knew the specifics that I wanted. Within 20 minutes of entering the dealership I signed an order for a new 2015 STI. No hassle about my trade and no hidden tactics. Not only did Tom make the initial order pleasant, he then put up with my incessant emails about my order status for the next 2 months. He kept me in the loop whenever anything happened and always responded promptly to my questions. Tom and the whole Cityside staff has made this purchase the best experience I have had to date in any car dealership. That includes Nissan, BMW and Volkswagon dealerships. I'm pointing anyone looking for a subaru their way. Both Tom and John own WRXs of various years and that made me even more comfortable since they are of the same mentality as I am when it comes to cars. Made the entire experience much less of a business transaction and more of a friendly transaction. If I ever lose enough of my sanity to pick up a BRZ in addition to my STI then I will head right on back to Cityside! More

An excellent new car buying experience!! This is the second Outback that we have bought from Cityside. We always use their service department which is also excellent!! We wanted to pre-orde This is the second Outback that we have bought from Cityside. We always use their service department which is also excellent!! We wanted to pre-order the new 2015 Outback. Tom made the process very simple. I told him exactly what we wanted on the car and the color that we wanted. It was a custom-made car just for us! Tom called as soon as the car arrived at Cityside and we came down to see it that day. He offered us a test drive, but we knew that we wanted the car,so we declined. We were given a reasonable price for the Outback that we traded in and a very good price on the new Outback, which is in very high demand. Tom (and Alex) spent as much time as we needed to explain everything about the car. The navigation system is quite different than our 2010 Outback and they were very patient with us, also taking time to explain the keyless ignition, back-up camera and blind side monitoring. We really appreciate the time spent with us and look forward to working with them in the future. Cityside is a great Subaru dealership with a great service department that we enjoy coming to. We would highly recommend it!!!!!! More
