Corey has been the advisor I’ve dealt with whenever I’m due for service. He is always helpful, friendly, and professional. I recommend the whole service department to anyone needing anything. The service manager, Tim is not above getting out there and helping when needed and has always made sure any questions I had were answered. I also appreciate his taking his diesel mechanic, David (Dave?) coming out to personally explain what was causing my issues and how it was fixed. I also can’t forget Carolyn, who handled my rental. She is the sweetest and gets your paperwork and rental handled quickly, but without making you feel like you’re just a “number” in an assembly line, plus she makes great cookies that are free in the waiting area! Hmmm…. Will they notice if I stop by just to snag a cookie? More

In route to Jacksonville I experienced a proble with my 2018 Malibu not shifting into park. I stopped my a Chevrolet dealership in Live Oak who advised tht they did not have the part to repair and recoomm 2018 Malibu not shifting into park. I stopped my a Chevrolet dealership in Live Oak who advised tht they did not have the part to repair and recoommneded that I take to a local dealership in Jacksonville, my final designation. The service department employee at the Live Oak dealership advised me the shift proble was very common with the Cevy Malibu but they did not have the repair art on hand. When I arrive to Jacksonville it was late and no delership was open. The next morning the batter had died and I had the car towed to Gordon Chevrolet the next morning. Mr. Ike Beckwith in the service depart was very helpful and advised that they dealership only had a few technicians working on Saturday, but they would try to ge to y car as soon as possible. I advised Mr. Becwith of the proble with the shift to park and my conversation witht he dealership in Live Oak in route to Jacksonville. I was advised at that time that a basic diagnostice fee of $189 might be required to identify the problem unless technicians were able to idientify the problem quickly. However $1,002.77 later for a part that cost $61 dollars and a battery, I picked up my car a few days later. Apparently, the battery had been drained from the car not going into shift and that charge, while pretty expensive, was understandable. The labor charges were standard for a dealership so no problems there, either. However, the $189 diagnostic fee for an issue that is common to the Malibu was problematic to me. After looking at my receipt of the $189 charged being itimized as Customer concern: 49 - Basic Evaluation 189.99 c/s a few days ago she parked and the vehicle gave a message shift to park, it went away after that. This has happended a few times. This seems to be killing the battery. Please check and advise. Park position switch. This is what was wirtten on the receipt, verbatimly. There was no explanation of what diagnotics were done to waranted a full $189.99 diagnostic fee as the problem with the shift and battery were identified in the concern and the fact the the problem is a common one to the Malibu. After I retuned home from Jacksonville, I made several attempts to contact Mr. Tim McLaughlin, the servce manager, but I was unable to speak with him alfter severval calls and leaving at least 3 voice messages and speaking with Mr. Beckwith. I belive in paying for fair sevrices rendered, but I do not think the $189.99 was anywhere close to a fair charge. I would like to be contacted by someone in managment to address this complaint. More
