The service department at Central Auto Group is dishonest. Seeing the big “Ford” sign out front, I brought my car there because the brake lights were intermittently out. I told them that we thought dishonest. Seeing the big “Ford” sign out front, I brought my car there because the brake lights were intermittently out. I told them that we thought it needed a new brake light switch because when my husband manipulated the brake light switch, the lights would come on, but then they would go out again. They decided the problem was the inhibitor switch instead and said they replaced that. But, the brake lights were out again before I made it out of the parking lot. So they took it back and said they replaced the brake light switch but that the lights were still out, and I would have to bring it to a Ford dealer. (Their Ford sign is still there.). The actual Ford dealer I went to next replaced the brake light switch with an aftermarket switch because the switch is no longer available from Ford. They gave me the part they replaced pointing out where the contacts were worn. It was not a new switch. So Central lied at least about replacing the brake light switch. To their credit, they did not charge for the $23-switch. But they caused me to have to pay much more to a different dealer for the extra work they had to do since I told them that the switch had already been replaced. Horrible establishment. Bought a used truck from them in the very beginning of March. After signing the paperwork, it took over 3 weeks for me to actually get the truck. All Bought a used truck from them in the very beginning of March. After signing the paperwork, it took over 3 weeks for me to actually get the truck. All they did was replace a turbo. They didn’t even do brakes or a general service on the truck. I had told the salesman and sales manager that the truck shook a bit while braking coming off the highway, and suggested it needed some brake work. When I got the truck, the informed me that they still did not replace the back up camera, so we scheduled an appointment and ordered the part. They also said that the turbo may have been causing the shaking. However, it still shakes when you brake hard. They just didn’t want to replace the calipers. And now I’m stuck with them because they are not part of the vehicles warranty. When I show up for my appointment weeks later to get the backup camera installed, which I had taken half a day of work off, the informed me that they didn’t order all the parts needed. So then I had to wait an additional 2 weeks to get the camera installed. Finally, now in the 3rd week of April, I show up to get the camera installed at my 9:30am appointment. By 12:30pm, I noticed that my truck had still not moved. I approach the service counter and asked what was going on with my truck. They hadn’t even pulled it into the bay yet. They stated the tech was backed up on another job and when serviced asked the tech why they weren’t updated, the service desk worker said “he stood there like a deer in headlights”. So I’ve now been at the establishment for over 4 hours for a service that takes 30 mins to 1 hour and 30 mins. I could have installed the camera myself from scratch before their “professionals” could complete it. My salesman Jim was horrible, they tried to get me to pay 2000 dollars over the initial truck posting. Luckily I took screenshots and saved the links to the initial post prices. Also, before I even signed the official finance paperwork, Jim is forcing me to complete a review on dealerrater.com. You should never force someone to do a review. They should know the ethics of honest and effective reviews. The service department is incredibly slow and not knowledgeable. The entire establishment has horrible communication skills, you will need to call them and ask all the questions if you want to get any info about your purchase or services. I’ve asked for copies of the Service Orders for the truck multiple times and they still have not been provided. And lastly, their reviews are inflated because they force unsolicited reviews on multiple platforms. I would never recommend this establishment. Go to any other dealership. This is not an honest 4 star establishment because all the reviews are forced and the customers are out on the spot. More

Tim, Thank you for your email for having my Kona lease serviced. 1 thing that has always bothered me about Central is after I receive my car back from service, it’s not washed,or vacuumed like other deale serviced. 1 thing that has always bothered me about Central is after I receive my car back from service, it’s not washed,or vacuumed like other dealerships I have leased or bought from in the past ! Also I find that your waiting room is extremely uncomfortable & small, especially when my oil change was approximately 45 minutes !! ( maybe updated furniture?) Just a suggestion, however the waiting area was very clean!! Everyone who assisted was very kind & professional as they always are !!! For future emails to me my Husband’s name is TIM not JIM !! More
