Waylon was just as disappointing as the rest of the team. His handling of the situation lacked professionalism, and the overall experience felt like a waste of time. His handling of the situation lacked professionalism, and the overall experience felt like a waste of time. More

I never write reviews, but my experience with Andy Mohr CDJR was so terrible that I need to make an exception. If I can stop one person from buying a car with them, then I see this review as a success. Thi CDJR was so terrible that I need to make an exception. If I can stop one person from buying a car with them, then I see this review as a success. This is going to be a long rant, but I truly hope it helps someone. My wife and I were looking for a used car for under $9-10k, knowing that we wouldn't find anything even close to perfect. We had both lost our cars in the space of a week. She lost her car in a hit-and-run accident, and I lost mine due to transmission failure. We shopped around at some used car lots but ran into shady salesmen who didn't want us to test drive the cars, refused to pull service history, etc. We went to Andy Mohr thinking that a dealership would be more reputable even if they charged a little more. Andy Mohr had a 2009 Ford Escape listed at $5,900 with only 100k miles on it, which sounded like an amazing deal. The salesman Steve Pumphrey let me take it for a drive around the dealership, and he seemed nice enough, but after looking under the car, I was worried about the amount of rust under the vehicle. I know very little about cars, and I repeatedly asked Steve if the rust would be an issue, and he repeatedly said it wouldn't present an issue anytime soon. He said “this car is an absolute steal” and “these cars don't last long here.” I decided to buy the car, which ended up being closer to $7200 with all the buying fees included and also because they didn't have a key for me, and the clicker on the one they gave me doesn't even work. When I drove the car off, it started making a loud rattling sound in the back, and the car shook a lot when I went over bumps. I didn't notice this when I took it for a test drive earlier, maybe because the road was smoother around the dealership? I took it to my local mechanic for a checkup and he called me the next day asking me where the &^*% I got the car. He said that there is nothing holding up the shocks in the rear and that the car is rusted to ^&%$. He said it is unsafe to drive on the highway and he said that I need to take it back to the dealership and ask for my money back. I knew that I signed as-is documents when I bought the car, so I didn't think this would work. Instead, I went to body repair shops around Indy to see if any of them could repair the car. Almost every single one told me that the car is too far gone and that I should sell it for scrap. The only place that was even willing to try was Indy Body Werks in Speedway, but they said it would be thousands of dollars and they couldn't guarantee a safe fix. They were shocked that Andy Mohr would sell a car in such bad shape, and wrote me a letter to take to the dealership saying the car is unsafe to drive. I drove in the unsafe car to the dealership and walked up to Steve Pumphrey, and before I could finish listing the things that were wrong, he said “I'm not a mechanic” and went to get a manager named Brian. Brian listened to my concerns and told me that he would call some of the mechanics I had gone to and if the car is unsafe to drive, I could trade it in for another car in the lot. He called me saying that they could offer me $2500 for the car and trade me into another one, after they had just sold me the car for almost triple that amount. He also said in his voicemail that “any service shop will be more than happy to repair that for you” when I already told him that wasn't the case and he didn't call a single one of them. I was furious and since they don't return your phone calls, I had to drive in again to speak with Brian, and he said that he didn't get any of my voicemails (which I doubt). He DID NOT call the mechanics he told me he would. He only spoke to the mechanic who already passed the car. He did a bunch of verbal gymnastics to dodge the fact that Andy Mohr sold me an unsafe car, and offered to buy back the car at an insultingly low amount. He kept saying that Andy Mohr put in 2,200 to make the car sellable, when it was obvious that t More

I was told that I wasn't allowed to buy a vehicle at the price listed on the website unless I accepted ~$3500 worth of low-value "extended warranty"-type extras. They were initially presented as optional b price listed on the website unless I accepted ~$3500 worth of low-value "extended warranty"-type extras. They were initially presented as optional but the tenor of the negotiation changed when I declined them. I was also told that the financing I had secured with my bank (large global bank anyone would be familiar with) could not be used and I'd have to use in-house financing at a rate literally double what my bank had given me. These folks do not negotiate in good faith. More

The staff we originally dealt with for our first deal were absolutely amazing, the sales rep was Karl. I have since returned to this dealership, under a new name, to purchase another Jeep Grand Cherokee. The sales rep, Steven, has not been bad. But the manager that is approving and negotiating numbers has been absolutely rude and disrespectful. I came in here for my wife to test drive the Jeep and Durango that she wanted because she had to work. I informed the dealership that she had already obtained financing for the vehicle, which ever she would chose to purchase. I was told that was not an issue as B of A was a preferred lender for them. Upon agreement of trade and final purchase price the manager then states to me, we can’t use that, we have to use our banks and you will need to do a credit application here and we will do everything. Upon telling him that we were happy with the B of A rate, he told me that he’s “losing money” for me already and that in order to make the sale, we must use his banks. But 10 minutes prior I was told that B of A is a preferred bank of theirs. They also told me that since I removed the ziebart package, he was raising the care package from $1,181 to $1,499. That is unacceptable. I explained that to him, I was informed that this is what needs to happen for him to sell the vehicle to us. I have never in my life been told I have to purchase extra stuff in order to purchase a vehicle. I am unsure if it is because Andy Mohr took over the dealership or not. I have also never been told by a dealership that I MUST use the bank of the dealerships choice. But it’s just not been a satisfactory experience. I will never advise people to visit this place to search for a new vehicle. More
