A $70,000 Haircut I did not deserve. I paid $150k for a lemon MB, that had dealer admitted charging and other defects and got a used Porsche base model Taycan (20 months of xxxx later I paid $150k for a lemon MB, that had dealer admitted charging and other defects and got a used Porsche base model Taycan (20 months of xxxx later) valued at $80k. The Porsche used car manager had bought my car from another dealer and it was not a one owner car. It was a loaner and treated like a loaner and beat up (discovered too late after close inspections by 2 mechanics). This was this dealer’s idea of a fair exchange. AVONDALE d/b/a Grapevine MB & Porsche are less than honest folks, and are led by Hesham Elgaghil, who did not reply to my email. The Assistant GM of Grapevine MB is Matt McPherson who has virtually no power to right wrongs; although a Navy vet, the owner gives him less authority than he had as a recruit. He tried, and even admitted the charging and other defects. It's a long story and I want to share it all. The Used Car Mgr. of Grapevine Porsche is Steven Levi who cannot keep his story straight. My used Taycan (former loaner) had been driven and cared for poorly. This was after the Porsche’s new car manager described about how all in his used fleet were from one owner Porsche enthusiasts. That was untrue. Several defects, damaged wheels, about what you would expect from a rental car. I got the run around from Levi coupled with insulting and demeaning emails. I have a large law practice in Hurst. If you are tempted to go to either MB or Porsche GRAPEVINE/AVONDALE dealership, DO NOT make the mistake I made and get no service after sale and 0 transparency. Over the last 2 years I have purchased 5 cars from the Avondale dealerships. I have high expectations when purchasing high end cars and Avondale has exceeded my expectations on every level. The class of this operation comes from the top down and Mr Grossman (CEO) seems to be always present at the dealership and takes a personal approach with you during the purchasing process. The Porsche experience is second to none. You are greeted by Melinda who guides you on in the right direction. She is warm, friendly and is eager to help. She offers you drinks, snacks ( and gummie bears if you like them). The sales team is outstanding and special nod goes to Michael Govias who was outstanding on several of my purchases. I would highly recommend him. He incredibly nice, honest, and down to earth. He is extremely responsive to texts and phone calls. When it comes time for service the Porsche Service is fantastic with Haji and Lenny caring for your vehicles. Both are very honest annd knowledgeable. Evelyn in the parts department will get you anything you need for your car and is always smiling and pleasant. I highly recommend this dealership without reservation. James Nackley MD More

It's hard to believe this dealership opened less than two years ago, as every interaction and detail is a seamless combination of intrinsic and responsive customer service. I had the pleasure of meeting Manager Steve Levi and working with Teiryn Fields and Aaron Fisk, who helped during the purchasing process. Teiryn is a fantastic brand ambassador, taking time to explain components of the vehicle and making himself available to any further questions and concerns. (I've taken him up on that offer and asked several questions.) Kimberly Welch was also very helpful with some important details. Great all-round experience tldr - great experience dealing with Aaron and everyone I encountered at Porsche Grapevine. Very happy with the product, the deal, the length of time to complete - everything. There's things I dislike about buying a car. The trek to the dealership, the positioning and posturing over trade values, the push to purchase extras, the hours waiting for the finance manager and then the next hour signing documents until your wrist aches. Enter Porsche Grapevine. Yesterday I reached out with an inquiry about a used 2018 Macan and emailed back and forth with Aaron. Although he offered to drive over with the vehicle, drop it off so I can test drive it and evaluate my trade, I opted for the in-person dealer experience. I'm glad I did for several reasons: - the facility is immaculate. I swear I could eat my lunch from their service centre floor. - the immersive experience. I was able to see so many rare and interesting vehicles there. I liken it almost to the excellent Porsche Museum in Stuttgart which I've visited twice. - Covid-safe, almost touchless experience. Clean, sanitized, precautions, everyone with a mask. Although I was early, Paul (Kim) noticed I was wandering around the outdoor space looking at all the lovely shiny things and introduced himself and gave me a tour. All in, I was out the door with my Macan in two hours including my (unaccompanied) test drive, vehicle prep, paperwork and delivery. I think that's a record. Finance options and paperwork were all handled personally by Aaron and so with minimal documentation signatures (under 20 pages with signatures, initials), a quick swipe of my card for my deposit, I was done. A word about price. You're buying a Porsche. I've owned premium cars before (used Mercedes and new Lexus) and experienced the incrementally better sales/service experience. It's possible to buy a "cheap" used Porsche either privately or through a non-Porsche dealer. You might even buy one through a Porsche dealer, but for me one of the biggest draws was getting a Certified Pre Owned (CPO) model. It means they know the car, it's been maintained properly, likely a young car with one owner and not a crazy amount of miles. It's peace of mind and it offers tangible warranty benefits. These are sold "as is" with no dealer warranty and that's a good thing. It's Porsche that backs the warranty and they stand by their engineering. So back to that price thing. I've researched this exact model for months, so the price point for the one I purchased was excellent. Sure, there's some options I'd have liked (or perhaps a GTS, but that's a different price point). I didn't haggle either. I felt that the price point for this machine was a good deal for me and I enjoy a frictionless win-win experience. My trade was a three year lease with 14 payments remaining so I expected to take a bit of a financial bath on that one. Not so. When I figure in the price I got in trade and the payoff amount, the difference was less than the sum of my remaining payments. So, another win. Any regrets? Not one. Other than not having done this a year ago. (*Steve Levi gets a nod because I returned later in the day to hand over my second set of keys, so our interaction was brief but good). More
