I was blindsided by this dealership's dressed up customer service. My husband and I just welcomed a new baby, along with our other boys, and needed a larger vehicle to transport our growing family to church service. My husband and I just welcomed a new baby, along with our other boys, and needed a larger vehicle to transport our growing family to church and baseball practice. One of the managers named Brian told us that we would have a 3,000 mile warranty on the van, so we felt no need to purchase extended warranties as he assured us that they had done maintenance on the car before putting it on the lot. We thought we found the perfect deal in a used vehicle at Southaven Honda, but to no avail, 1550 miles in the check engine light came on. They agreed to look at the vehicle and reported that it was the torque converter on the transmission. They turned the light off, assuring us that sometimes sensors may read wrong and that may have been the case. Not even 24 hours later, the light came back on. When I talked to Steve, the service manager, he shared that the manager that previously guaranteed 3,000 miles didn't remember that and was now only acknowledging 2,000 miles. I shared with him that since they didn't remember their original agreement, I was still under the 2,000 miles they were now mentioning. This time, I called them and spoke to Walker, the used car sales manager. He told me that he would call me back when he gets to the bottom of things. He called back and said yes, they do offer a 3,000 mile warranty, but it is only for the MOTOR. He also expressed that I signed off declining an extended warranty. At that time, I shared with him that I know what documents I signed and I didn't feel the need to since they were guaranteeing a 3,000 mile warranty. This was my first mistake, listening to people who prey on minority groups. I also expressed great concern about their morals and ethics, because the manager on duty the day of the purchase knew that we have a large family to get around. One of the primary purposes of the vehicle was to get our boys to church and their practices in one vehicle, and this place has shattered that dream and created a new nightmare for me and my family. These people are more concerned with selling than doing the right thing, and that is why consumers are keeping their money. I would not recommend any of my family, friends, colleagues...I mean anyone to shop here. My recommendation is NOT to buy used from this company because they are not doing the right thing. This van was a lemon. They will see me on the BBB and possibly even small claims court. More
