We recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Toyota Boardman, despite having purchased our 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid from them four years ago with great satisfaction. Based on that positive history, we expected the same level of professionalism when we reached out to sell our vehicle back to them. The dealership owner provided us with a tentative offer over the phone, contingent on their service department’s review—which we completely understood. We were transparent about the vehicle’s condition, openly sharing both the good and the bad. Trusting their interest, we drove an hour from Cleveland, dropping the vehicle off on a Sunday, with my father-in-law returning Monday morning to finalize the drop-off. Unfortunately, the professionalism we once experienced was nowhere to be found. The staff treated my father-in-law rudely, acting as if they had no knowledge of the arrangement. By midday, we were informed that they would not be making an offer—despite the prior interest and tentative commitment. Their reason? Minor dents in the captain’s chairs from car seats, something incredibly common and superficial for a family vehicle. This entire situation resulted in wasted time, unnecessary travel, and poor treatment—all after being upfront and transparent. If this is the level of service you expect from a dealership, that’s your choice. However, for us, it was a deeply frustrating and unprofessional experience that reflects poorly on Toyota Boardman. We will not be returning, and we certainly won’t be recommending them to others. More

Wouldn't go anywhere else! I will never go anywhere else to buy a car. I have leased through them and now bought. Customer service is exceptional. Best car buying experience I've ever had I had already researched my vehicle and knew what I wanted to buy. I had even talked to a few dealers. A friend suggested I contact this dealer. The dealership is not the closest one to me, but I took the advice and the recommendation was correct. From the time I walked onto the lot until I drove away in my new truck, I genuinely felt that everyone truly cared about my needs and did all they could to fill those needs. I've been buying vehicles for almost 40 years and I have to say this was the best experience I've had. Everyone at Toyota of Boardman was very personable and took time to get to know me, answer questions and generally make me feel at home. More

The salesman was not "pushy" and was only friendly and accommodating throughout the process. The finance person was also very patient as it took a long time to complete our paperwork because of a fraud alert on my social security number. Additionally, we travel from Pennsylvania to purchase this vehicle and prior to doing so, the owner/salesperson was very helpful in answering all of my questions. Every person we came in contact with at the dealership was honest, straight forward, helpful and kind. I will certainly be dealing with them again in the future and will recommend them to all my friends and family. More

So simple and hassle free! Needed a 4 or AWD and something to carry grandkids but also so had previously had pickup and got used to carrying larger loads. Told them what"I" wanted to make as a monthly payment and they showed me different cars and I chose a Seinna. Best choice ever made. They explain all the different protection options and plans with out any sales pitch, it was my choice. They worked with banks and got me a loan to fit the payment I had given. They are excellent at follow up and warranty info, also on 2 recalls, which were minor. I could not be more pleased with the quality of van and the dealership. More
