I 'm getting so turned off to the Porsche experience. Have yet to find a dealer that is honest, forthright, and has any modicum of customer service or integrity. The buy process for a $200K+ luxury goo Have yet to find a dealer that is honest, forthright, and has any modicum of customer service or integrity. The buy process for a $200K+ luxury good should really be pretty easy....identify one you want, research the features, and commit to buy. Starting to think that Porsche North America must condone this behavior. Reached out to them to seek their counsel, but of course, haven't heard back. For the last couple of days, I've been working on trying to buy a car (the third one in two weeks), and I verbally told the sales associate I'll buy it- send me the paperwork. That was Thursday am. Great, all good. Then I got played. "Working on putting a deal together, send us your personal information. Didn't see anything for a couple of hours, so checked back..."uh, yeah, really busy, need to go check the car miles and then complete. Any issues? Nope, we're good". Didn't hear anything the rest of the afternoon (how long does it take to send paperwork??). Called back again. Uh, haven't had a chance- may not get to today, but will tomorrow. Friday, I sensed something's up. Called again, uh, well, the GM had someone that wanted to buy it, but I think we're good. Give me an hour. I emailed and VM'ed the GM and Sales Management of Porsche Woodland Hills, Scott Stanley. No response. Tried calling a couple of times the sales associate, David Lang. No response. Finally got a call on my business phone at 6p Fri from the GM. Classic. First the finger pointing and the hiding behind others- we didn't know- its on the website because....I told them to take it off... C'mon. And this was after one a week ago from the same dealer I had another car selected to buy only to find out that it too unavailable. Had already been transferred out of their inventory. That too was a computer glitch. It's frustrating to see such a good mark like Porsche succomb to this behavior. I really feel like their customers deserve better. More
