Thanks to Scott, Shay, James and Matt, I was able to purchase a new vesta blue hybrid Sportage with navy and grey seats when I was unable to do so at 4 previous Kia dealerships around Wisconsin. It was a very difficult process to find and secure this particular vehicle, but James did some locator magic with a national manager to secure the vehicle I had been attempting to purchase since April of 2023. I was surprised when the sales manager told me I had to pay/buy the Code Etch because it was alread on the vehicle. Honestly a little bit of buyers remorse. I do like the car, however, I repeatedly stated that I wanted a sunroof. One of the first things I said to the sales person when we were in the first time was that car, however, I repeatedly stated that I wanted a sunroof. One of the first things I said to the sales person when we were in the first time was that I wanted a sunroof. I reiterated this multiple times, on both occasions. I told stories of how that was really the only feature that was important to me. Yet we ended up with a car without a sunroof. Yes, we decided to buy the car, so it’s on me. However, this is my first experience buying a new (or fairly new) vehicle at a dealer and as a previous sales person myself, in hindsight, it feels like maybe I wasn’t being listened to. We were never given a test drive before purchasing. We went from “can you buy this?” to “you’re buying it” without discussing a lot of details. In hindsight, that seems crazy, and I guess it’s on me for not pushing it, but again, as a sales person, you need to have the customer try the product. Eliminate all possible buyers remorse. I would have likely opted for middle row bucket seats if I had really gotten into it. Additionally, the first response I got from the sales person was a call and text stating that I had a reservation that very same day, within a few hours. I wasn’t told ahead of time that I had a reservation. I have 4 daughters, and we had no time to plan for anyone else to watch them, so we had to bring them along which made the experience that much more of a hassle. I think if we had proper communication ahead of time, we could have had someone watch our children and a much more favorable experience. Lastly, we weren’t given any paperwork with the purchase. Also, UVO isn’t working. We were excited in the moment, but again, in hindsight, I have some remorse. I know it’s how you do it, and shame on me for not pushing back more, but you’re good at making it feel like you should take this car today. The website makes it seem like this would be a cool customization experience. This was not that. Everyone was very friendly. High scores for that. More
