On 11-12-2024, my son took his 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander to Jacobs Mitsubishi on US19 in New Port Richey, Florida, for three recalls, including a stop lamp switch replacement. He also requested a diagnostic to Jacobs Mitsubishi on US19 in New Port Richey, Florida, for three recalls, including a stop lamp switch replacement. He also requested a diagnostic for an engine warning light. The service center assured us that they would check everything with the diagnostic. The results indicated a cracked fuel cap, a fuel pressure sensor, and some minor upkeep and maintenance. Nothing was noted about the brake system in the status report. Upon picking up the car, my son drove 1/4 mile down the road and pulled into the left turn lane. He called me, stating that the car would only accelerate to 10mph and the brake pedal was stiff. I returned to the service center and informed them of the issue. An employee insisted that my son drive the car back, despite my concerns. When my son arrived, his brakes were smoking. The mechanics immediately inspected the cabin of the car, but did not check under the hood until they took it into the bay. I was initially told that the brake issue was a coincidence, and then informed that old brake fluid was causing pressure buildup. I insisted that they were not looking for the problem but rather an excuse for why it was not their fault. I requested that they reassemble the car, and I would take it to a reputable mechanic to diagnose the issue. The mechanic performed a visual inspection, revealing that the brake system was burned up, the front rotors were fried, and there were no brake pads left as they had burned off. The back rotors were fine, but the back pads were almost gone, and the car was not safe to drive. We were informed that we were fortunate the car did not catch fire. Upon further research, we discovered that over-tightening the stop lamp switch, which was one of the recalls addressed, could cause the exact problem we experienced. I tried to go to the dealership to talk to management but none were available. The employee that had my son drive the car back after reporting the issue said he was management but refused to identify himself. It took 5 days and me opening a formal complaint to Mitsubishi Automotive HQ to get any manager to call me back. Ray Sousa stated that they are not responsible for a car once it leaves the shop and Corporate can do any investigation they want. Do not have any work done by any of the dealerships as they all back each other up. More

BUYER BEWARE! !! STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS!! We bought a 2019 Ford T250 high top extended van. Upon driving it home from dealership, the engine light ki !! STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS!! We bought a 2019 Ford T250 high top extended van. Upon driving it home from dealership, the engine light kicked on. Contacted them IMMEDIATELY that next morning. They said bring it in, they'd look at it. What they actually did was clear the code to get the engine light to kick back off to make us go away. Turns out after taking it elsewhere to see what that code was, it is perm lockout code (which was over 30 days old since in perm lockout, we had the van less than 1 hour of this engine light kicking on). Turns out, we were sold a $41,000+ vehicle with MAJOR problems. They wanted to wait it out until extended warranty kicked in (per their employee, which turns out is ILLEGAL for a dealership to do, extended warranty refused the claim). So now to fix this problem that they knowingly sold to us, it will be another 4k which they flat refuse to acknowledge. Be VERY wary of this place. They will pass you around pretending to be of assistance, when in all reality they have ZERO intentions of remedying absolutely anything. We will be contacting a consumer auto fraud atty as well as the consumer fraud division over dealerships. More

Yana Simon who works at sales at Jacob Mitzubishi is a great person to deal with when you are looking for a vehicle. After the original sales person, manager, internet manager and general manager didn’t help at all, I found Yana and she found how to fix the problems I was having. What a girl and her helping me made my sick wife so happy after getting the run around. So thank you Yana for taking over my problems and fixing them. So I have to say prior to me buying this vehicle the original sales person called about 10 times a day until I came to see the vehicle and ONCE I BOUGHT IT I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM OR ANYONE ELSE AGAIN, WHY BECAUSE THE SALE WAS MADE………MICHAEL RIZZO.
