DO NOT SHOP HERE! !! I know how much the military community is appreciated in this area and I would like to save you all some time and heartache. Shottenkirk has no mor !! I know how much the military community is appreciated in this area and I would like to save you all some time and heartache. Shottenkirk has no morals or ethical code. They continually use bait and switch tactics, like crossing out the price of a vehicle on their website, finding out what you are willing to pay monthly and playing with those numbers in the finance office so you pay more for the vehicle. They are not honest about the total price you are paying for the vehicle. They will ask for the keys to your trade-in for appraisal, but do not be fooled and give them over to them because they don’t need them for an appraisal (as I learned later). When you try to leave they will dangle YOUR keys IN FRONT OF YOU and say “last chance on this deal.” They do not care about the consumer, just making the biggest buck. In fact the sales manager I dealt with, Sam Ramsey, is a USMC veteran and does not care if he screws over other veterans like myself. He is in finance now, so if you get him I would suggest pulling chocks and getting out of there. We tried to kill our deal in less than 24 hours, but they would not do it. The general manager would not return phone calls or come out of his upstairs den to discuss the issues. I have always loved Toyota but this place put such a bad taste in my mouth that I will never shop Toyota again. Toyota Financial was no help whatsoever either and we were stuck with a 2023 sequoia that required transmission software updates. Check out the reviews on BBB. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE! !! I have tried several times to speak and/or meet with the GM regarding a transaction that occurred at his dealership on 12/27/2023, however I have !! I have tried several times to speak and/or meet with the GM regarding a transaction that occurred at his dealership on 12/27/2023, however I have been denied that access by either staff or the GM himself (i.e., not on site, on the phone, or in a meeting). I understand that being the General Manager is likely a busy and tiresome role, therefore he has little to no time to meet with every peasant customer that comes through the location. What occurred?? The shortest version is that we were hoodwinked into believing we were leasing a vehicle at MSRP and would be in a great place with equity since we had a nearly $30k trade-in. Not the case! They pulled a bait-n-switch and we discovered it the next morning, less than 24 hours from the transaction. By time our lease is done we would have paid just $14k under MSRP and supposedly the vehicle will be valued at no less than $48k, for us to consider purchasing at that time. We have been to the dealership twice since the transaction and called several times. We are constantly denied access to the GM - the king in his castle cannot be bothered to deal with the customer, only his peons. More

DO YOUR HOMEWORK! I am posting this review to hopefully help someone before they make a purchase from this dealership. First off, please be aware that you will n I am posting this review to hopefully help someone before they make a purchase from this dealership. First off, please be aware that you will need to add $5k to whatever price you see online for a VIP warranty that isn't optional. If you are okay with this and decide to go ahead and buy, please ensure that a multipoint inspection was done, and I would ask for proof. I bought a truck from Shottenkirk Toyota Weatherford about a month ago. A few weeks later, the check engine light came on, so I took it to Autozone to find out it has something to do with my catalytic converters. After 5 phone calls to the dealership, I was able to get my paperwork along with the warranty info. I was advised there was an 8 year 80,000 mile warranty that would cover this, so I took it into a dealership in Grapevine. They advised me that the catalytic converters are aftermarket and defoulers (not a car guy, so hopefully I spelled this correctly) were used and that they were stacked. I was advised this is federally illegal, and they told me to reach out to the dealership for resolution. I emailed these pictures over, and after not hearing back for a few hours, I reached out for an update. I was advised that the pictures were sent to the service director, but since they were in meetings this week, they would get back to me. I decided to then post a 1 star review which led to a phone call from the service manager who told me the previous owner had the aftermarket converters installed after theirs were stolen and they would fix the catalytic converters if I took down my review. I took down the review and took my truck the next day. When I got there I sat down with the service manager and asked him if they would reimburse me for the $190 I spent to find the issue along with $120 for needing to replace 2 of the valve stems. I also asked if they could repair a quarter size spot where the paint was scratched, and I asked for a 2nd key. I didn't think this was too much considering the 3 hours I spent waiting for the valve stems to be replaced, the additional 3 hours for the diagnosis of the converters and now the 4 hours to drive to and from the dealership to fix the converters. The service manager wrote down my request and told me he would ask about it. When I came to get my truck, he advised me they were only going to care for the converters. I asked to speak to the GM, but he brought a sales manager to me instead. He began to make it sound like they were doing me a favor for fixing the converters to which I told him should have been caught before the truck was sold to me. He again tried to justify not making things right, but I went ahead and took my truck and left. I hope this review helps someone in the future. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.
