I went to this dealer to trade in a car and purchase a new one. My salesperson was gracious and confirmed with me prior. Please, do yourself a favor, SHOP AROUND! ! Lehighton Kia charged $10,000 over MSRP and called it the "New Car Advantage". There was nothing advantageous about it! You get NOTHING for this ext ! Lehighton Kia charged $10,000 over MSRP and called it the "New Car Advantage". There was nothing advantageous about it! You get NOTHING for this extra $10,000. This is just extra money the dealership decides to charge. Then, when my son's credit wasn't quite good enough they talked me into running mine, as a co-signer for the new vehicle. I have been getting all documents either in my name alone, or my name first. When I finally got someone knowledgeable at First Commonwealth, I was advised they don't do co-signers, only co-borrowers!! They are NOT the same thing, regardless of what the finance department at Kia says. To put it simply, the primary difference between a co-signer and a co-borrower is that co-signers often don't have an ownership interest in items you purchase with loan proceeds. Co-signers serve as a backstop if the borrower stops paying, while co-borrowers are involved in the whole deal. I am furious!! Now the bank wants MY account number for ACH payments, and MY signatures!! This IS NOT MY CAR!! I was also told they were going to check with one bank for a loan, THREE were checked! As a result my credit score dropped 19 points in 11 days!! I contacted Kia headquarters, who basically told me they just set the MSRP anything the dealer does after that is on the dealer. Do NOT let them upsell you, go in with a price you can afford and stick to it! Then walk...no, RUN to anywhere else! I'm just sorry we're stuck, but you don't have to be. More
