Initially, everything went well. I called the dealorship to see if a vehicle was available as I was driving several hours and didn't want to arrive and find it was sold or not on the lot. Staff verified it to see if a vehicle was available as I was driving several hours and didn't want to arrive and find it was sold or not on the lot. Staff verified it was available and held it until I could get to the lot. Communication/directions were great. Once we started the process to purchase, things changed. Since we were not trading a vehicle, the advertised price increased $1000. I refused to pay it and we came to an agreement. The day after purchase, I discovered that the vehicle was not what was advertised. It was listed as a SR5 Premium. While it had some features of a SR5 Premium, it was not, as verified when I was able to look up the VIN on Toyota. Some of the options listed were not present. When I called the dealorship back to complain that the vehicle was not the advertised model and was not the deal it was purported to be due to the difference in cost/resale value, I was told there was nothing they could do. The response was to read the small print at the bottom of the window sticker that states they are not responsible for differences between what they list and the actual vehicle. Ultimately, I understand this falls on the buyer but I would not have even driven to see this vehicle had I known it was not the desired model. Unfortunately, Toyota does not have badging to identify the different trim/option levels (SR5 vs Premium). I still feel that this was a bait/switch and caution anybody doing business with SouthTowne to verify every little detail or better yet, look elsewhere. More

0 stars. Do not recommend. I purchased a vehicle in February, it is almost June and I have been issued 3 temporary tags from the dealership as the county cannot assist. Not only, I went today for my sc February, it is almost June and I have been issued 3 temporary tags from the dealership as the county cannot assist. Not only, I went today for my scheduled maintenance with an appointment and it took a 2 hours for it to be pulled back to begin service, with that being said, they cancelled my maintenance agreement when I cancelled my extended warranty that was submitted the day after purchase and that wasn’t cancelled until May due to their lack of submission. My experience here has been frustrating, time consuming with indirect answers but excuses of COVID, low staffing, experience and more. If you are wanting the run around, this is your team. More
