I have to admit to being very puzzled about how to accurately review my experience with San Tan Hyundai as everyone was very friendly, not pushy and we LOVE our new car which we thought was a good dea accurately review my experience with San Tan Hyundai as everyone was very friendly, not pushy and we LOVE our new car which we thought was a good deal. Plus the finance department was the best we’ve ever worked with: special shout-out out to Taylor Carter! The details: My original dealings with San Tan Hyundai started via Costco Auto, which I had hoped would eliminate the evasiveness so prevalent when buying a car. However, I could not get a clear answer from our assigned rep so I started looking elsewhere. Weeks later I dropped by in person to see if I could start fresh, which I did and placed a $1K deposit on a 2023 Tucson scheduled for arrival 4 weeks later. Unfortunately, during this time (and afterwards), I found our sales rep, while very personable and knowledgeable about the car, did not have the best communication skills as I had requests/questions answered evasively or incorrectly and I had multiple emails/texts never (or only partially) responded too. But finally the big day arrives and upon receiving his email that he had, “our keys in hand and it was ready to go” we eagerly headed to the dealership – only to find our new Tucson filthy, with shoe polish writing on the windshield, mats & cargo cover uninstalled and on empty – WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! Astonishingly, we were told it is San Tan’s policy to not wash & prep a vehicle until the buyer is physically on-site. xxx? Several days later, our rep asked for a 5 Star Review, and to be given the opportunity to “allow us to correct where we fell short “. Problem is, I’d already completed the review 2 days earlier. I told him it was too late, and that I would not be giving a 5 star review. To which he never replied, nor did he answer any of my subsequent emails regarding other matters. After completing Hyundai’s review, I did hear back from them. They said San Tan would be contacting me, but they didn’t. I heard back from Hyundai one more time but never heard from San Tan. The odd thing about the crickets chirping from San Tan is my reviews were much like this one: I’m simply pointing out what they could have done better. “Don’t worry if you don’t want to listen to your customers as your competitors will do it for you.” More
