Must read before buying a vehicle at Heritage Hyundai Towson Please read if you are thinking about purchasing a car at Heritage Hyundai Towson. This is technically my second review but I took the first one down as the GM was going to “make it right”. I will start from the beginning and try to make it short. I bought a car and had a trade in. After we agreed on a price, I waited almost 5 hours for the finance guy. When we finished after 9:30 pm, I just wanted to get out of there. The very next day, I realized I left my sunglasses in my trade in. They were Maui Jim’s and a gift from someone special. I emailed my sales rep first thing in the morning. I didn’t hear back from him so I called around noon and spoke to a manager. Explained I left my sunglasses in the car. He said he was going to have someone check and call me back. At 4:30, I drove to the dealership. The manager I spoke with apparently didn’t have time to check. A very nice lady said she would help me. We found my trade in on the lot. She went to find the keys. She came back and said they cannot find the keys. She told me my sales rep will call me first thing in the morning. No one called me. Since I was at work, my folks decided to go to the dealership and try to find my glasses. When they got there, my sales rep and the dealership couldn’t find my trade in. Apparently, it was moved to another dealership. When the sales rep got a hold of the other dealership, he was told no sunglasses in the car. My sales rep called me to advise this. I asked for a manager to call me back this evening because this is unacceptable. I am sure you can guess, no one called me back. I decided other people needed to hear about my experiences. I wrote a Google, Facebook and Car.com review. The next day, Rob, the general manager at Heritage called me and wanted to “make it right” with me. He was willing to buy new glasses. I really wanted my old ones back but that wasn’t going to happen. I told him the name of the glasses and told him they cost $290. Rob found them online for a cheaper deal. He said he would cut me a check once I take down my reviews. Yes, I was stupid. I am too trusting. It’s been 4 weeks since the check was supposedly sent. I have texted and called the GM. He called me back over a week and a half ago. He was going to find out about the check and call me back. Never heard from him again. I texted two more times and again first thing this morning. Still nothing. Before shopping at any Heritage, remember my experience. Go somewhere else. If this is how they do business, they have lost a customer. And this was my 3rd car purchased at a Heritage dealership. And it will be my last. More
