I had the worst time ever with Mahwah GMC Buick in buying a vehicle. I made an deposit and waited for recalls to be completed on a Toyota Tundra Platinum. I had to constantly contact the dealership for upd a vehicle. I made an deposit and waited for recalls to be completed on a Toyota Tundra Platinum. I had to constantly contact the dealership for updates for weeks. Then because the Toyota was backed up on a motor replacement, I was contacted and told I needed to complete the sale or the vehicle was going to auction. OK, but I was told the recalls had to be completed before I could take possession. Because they were changing the plan, I was alarmed. Then telling me to buy it now or loose it, after I've been waiting and calling basically weekly, was threatening. So I booked a flight from SC to NY, got an Uber, and bought the vehicle. While making waiting for the detail to be completed (by the way the dealership knew I was coming and when) and doing the paperwork, I was left standing and ignored for the most part on 2hrs. This was likely because I expressed concerns to the general sales manager about how I was being treated...forced suddenly to move (pay in total in order to keep) after weeks for waiting patiently. Also, the general sales manager had to check with the Dealer Principal, Kathleen for clarity many times. Now finally seeing the Tundra for the first time, I discovered a deep key scratch going across the left doors to the bed. Next, the dealership had only one key fob. Now the great deal didn't seem so good. I was told when I pointed out the damage, that I should have noticed it in the picture. OK. I didn't expect it. By the was Kathleen walk in front of me and did even have the courtesy to say hello, knowing full well I had flown in from SC to completed the deal based on the previous day's call to me from the general sales manager (title?) threatening my purchase that I had been excited about getting once the work was done. So, I did it buy anyway. Drove it 11 hrs home. Took it to a Toyota dealership and got back in line for an engine recall. I also had their collision center give me an estimate for the deep scratch and the missing molding that say's Platinum. It was $3200. I also bought a key fog so I could have a 2nd key. It was about $450. Thank goodness the error codes check was good. I did have the the oil changed at this time, not trusting anything Mahwah told me. I want to forget I ever heard the name Mahwah. A day that should have been positively exciting was negatively anxious. I do not recommend this dealership. I even reached out to the founder and CEO via Linked In and received no reply. By the way I am definitely not a complainer nor hard to get along with. Quite the contrary, I'm very easy to deal with and soft spoken. You really have to provoke me to get me riled up. Congrats Mahwah GMC, you did it. More
