I expected a reliable and safe I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Ourisman VW Bethesda after purchasing a brand-new VW Taos S. I expected a reliable and safe vehicle but have encountered numerous issues right from the start. From the moment I received the car, I faced significant problems. I had to contact the dealership multiple times to report these issues. While the employees were initially helpful, the underlying problems remained unresolved. Major Issues Encountered: Engine Control Malfunction: Shortly after receiving the car, the Engine Control Malfunction icon turned on, indicating potential engine problems that could lead to sudden breakdowns. Additionally, the car remained excessively hot for hours after being parked, causing significant inconvenience and safety concerns. Braking System Issues: During the test drive, I noticed a friction or scraping noise when braking, which I was told was normal for a new car. However, the noise persisted every time I braked, raising serious safety concerns about potential defects in the braking system. Acceleration Problems: From the very first drive, I experienced shuttering during acceleration. The throttle response was irregular, causing the car to lurch forward unexpectedly. Despite following advice to deactivate the Auto Start-Stop system, the issue persisted, making the car difficult to control, especially in heavy traffic. Locking Issues: The car locked its engine twice and became completely unresponsive, leaving me stranded and unable to start the car for several minutes. Even an experienced driver with me couldn't figure out the issue. Interaction with Ourisman VW Bethesda: I contacted the Ourisman team to discuss these issues. They suggested sending the car to their service department for repairs. However, I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested to return the car for a full refund, given that I had only driven it for a short period and encountered multiple problems. Danet Marino, VW Manager, responded in an unprofessional and dismissive manner, rudely stating that they could not accept the car's return because "it is not a pair of shoes" and threatened that if I didn't send the car to their service department, I would be stuck with it at my house. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially from a dealership of this supposed caliber. Given that the car is brand new, there shouldn't be any issues requiring immediate repair. This experience has been nerve-wracking and has completely undermined my confidence in the vehicle's quality and the dealership's integrity. Conclusion: I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before purchasing a vehicle from Ourisman VW Bethesda. My experience has been fraught with issues and unprofessionalism. More
