Nils knew so much about each of the vehicles that we test drove, the pros and the cons, and had the vehicles that we wanted to test drive running and cooling off so that when we drove them, we weren't distracted by being uncomfortable. Nils sold us with his knowledge of vehicles, never any pressure, and we left feeling relaxed knowing that we bought the vehicle we wanted. Very satisfied first time customer I helped my son get into a used Honda CR-V this weekend. I didn't think I would be able to co-sign for the loan but the dealer helped me to understan I helped my son get into a used Honda CR-V this weekend. I didn't think I would be able to co-sign for the loan but the dealer helped me to understand that I actually have a great credit rating, despite a bankruptcy in my history. The dealer also made good on an honest mistake when he misquoted the price as $700 less than listed. I was also impressed with how quick they cleaned up the car and got it ready for us to pick up. This was my first time at the Cedarville location. I previously visited the Freeport location and had a good experience there too. I was very pleased that there was no high pressure sales team. I was very pleased with my experience at J.H. Barkau. Nils contacted me right away from my inquiry on CarGurus and was able to get me preapproved to purchase a car over the phone. That was great because I live about an hour away from the dealership and so wouldn't have wanted to make more than one trip down. When I arrived, it took a little while for someone to notice that I was there, but that may have been because I accidentally went through the back door. Nils did a great job of showing me around to all of the cars that were available and we even test drove the Chrysler up to the dealership in Freeport to see the cars there. He wasn't pushy at all and obviously wanted to make sure that I was able to purchase a vehicle that meet my specifications. The car was on sale and at a reasonable price, so I didn't really bother trying to haggle with them, so I don't know how that would have gone. The finance guy was very helpful as well and got me a great rate. Overall, the experience took a bit longer than I was expecting to get all of the paper work filled out, but this is the first time I have purchased a car on finance, so I don't have anything with with to compare. The vehicles on the lot were all in very nice condition and it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend them. More
