I purchased a 2022 Toyota Highlander with a 3. 5-liter V6 engine by trading in my 2025 Toyota RAV4, without first reviewing the vehicle's history report. Two days later, the dealership emailed me t 5-liter V6 engine by trading in my 2025 Toyota RAV4, without first reviewing the vehicle's history report. Two days later, the dealership emailed me the Carfax report. After reviewing it, and noticing that the vehicle came with only one key fob, I became concerned that the Highlander had not been well cared for. As a result, I decided to trade the 2022 Highlander back and repurchase my 2025 RAV4. I returned to the dealership immediately after reading the Carfax report and spoke with Dan, the Used Car Sales Manager, about my decision. I fully understand that this situation resulted from my own oversight, and I recognize that it caused inconvenience for the dealership. I was prepared to accept the financial consequences of my mistake. I sincerely appreciate Dan for agreeing to help me repurchase my RAV4. I would also like to thank Ashley, who handled the RAV4 purchase on the fifth day. She was professional, patient, and made every effort to assist with my request. I also appreciate Nick, the sales manager, for working with me and reducing the overall cost of the transaction. In the end, I paid $7,000 to get my RAV4 back. While I appreciate the dealership's willingness to help resolve the situation, I had hoped the cost would be closer to $5,000 to $6,000, considering that the entire transaction took place in less than a week. Otherwise I should have given a 5 out of 5 review. Although this experience was costly, it taught me an important lesson: always review a vehicle's Carfax report carefully before purchasing a used car. More
