A Certified Pre-Owned 2024 Honda Accord EX sedan with 5K miles was advertised online by Arrowhead Honda last week for $28,088. Once we decided to purchase the car, we were informed we would have to pay an additional $1,247 for the actual "certification" (which included the 182 point inspection and extended warranties) thus raising the total purchase price to $30,127. The salesman seemed as surprised about this as we were. We reluctantly agreed to pay the extra funds, however, in retrospect we believe the dealer should have honored the ADVERTISED price. of $28,088. When questioned about this, no one could offer a viable explanation as to why the certification cost hadn't been included in the original advertised price, Thus, what we originally were led to believe would be a very good deal became a barely fair deal.
