Updated Review of 6th Avenue Honda – Stillwater, OK I originally left a positive review at the dealership’s request, but after experiencing what happened with my purchase, I feel it’s important to share originally left a positive review at the dealership’s request, but after experiencing what happened with my purchase, I feel it’s important to share the full story. I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Trax LT with 58k miles. Within 24 hours, the vehicle was jerking under acceleration, nearly stalling, and the check engine light came on. The dealership first told me it was just because the tank was empty. When I pushed for a diagnostic, they said it needed a catalytic converter and three separate mounts, quoting around $3,500 in repairs. They then tried to present $1,600 as a “deal” if I paid part of it. Later I learned they had cleared the code to make it seem like nothing was wrong. Luckily the light came back on before I had the vehicle independently inspected. A second shop (Kwik Kar) confirmed that the mounts were fine and the only real issue was the catalytic converter, which they repaired for under $1,100. On top of that, the dealership tried to pressure me into refinancing through them and purchasing a $5,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty, despite the fact I already had secured affordable financing through my bank. The truth is the car failed within a day of purchase, the repair estimate was inflated, and unnecessary add-ons were pushed after the fact. Bottom line: Buyers should be very cautious. Get an independent inspection, secure your own financing, and do not rely on this dealership’s repair quotes or sales tactics. More

I took my vehicle back to Honda on 6th Street dealership in Stillwater because after having my oil changed and tires rotated the tire noise is very loud. After driving out of state and back, the noise level in Stillwater because after having my oil changed and tires rotated the tire noise is very loud. After driving out of state and back, the noise level had not changed. So I brought it back. Carey immediately asked me to take him on a drive, which I appreciated, to hear the noise. Then downplayed the issue. They came back and told me that the current back tires were very close to needing to be replaced if the state required an inspection. But they also said that I had a nail in the front tire but it was too close to the side to be fixed. They then offered to sell me two tires. I brought the inconsistencies of their advice and how it would provide me with four tires and three different tread levels. They refused to acknowledge the issue or provided a reasonable solution. Immediately I took the car to a reputable repair shop in town who immediately fixed the tire and told me it was well within the ability to fix. Because of their workload they could not immediately help me out with the noise level. I plan to take it back to them when a appointment opens up and avoid the dealership. The only reason I went to the dealership for the oil changes because my car is less than 3 years old and currently under warranty. I brought up that my floor mats anchor had pulled away and is now tearing the fabric on the floor. And was told that they don't do that type of work???? They also messed up the tires during the rotation and I had to go back immediately because the alarm was going off. If 6th Street Honda were not only Honda dealership within 50 miles I would go somewhere else. I love my Honda but hate the dealership here in Stillwater. More
