Thank you for your business and for your feedback. We apologize if we miscommunicated in any way during your visit, or worse if we came off as unfriendly! Hopefully the information below better details our findings. Ford’s communication concerning the design and function of the lamp assembly: Exterior lamps are vented to accommodate normal changes in pressure. Condensation can be a natural by-product of this design. When moist air enters the lamp assembly through the vents, there is a possibility that condensation can occur when the temperature is cold. When normal condensation occurs, a thin film of mist can form on the interior of the lens. The thin mist eventually clears and exits through the vents during normal operation. Clearing time may take as long as 48 hours under dry weather conditions. During your visit, the advisors inspected the vehicle for both damage and excessive moisture inside the lamp assembly. They found the amount of condensation to be within normal limits, and at a level that would have cleared on its own. You mentioned that you are having it replaced, but please be aware that what you experienced will likely happen again, as it is performing as designed. We apologize if your visit did not result in the outcome you had expected, but please know that we take your time (as well as your trust) seriously and will not recommend nor encourage unnecessary repairs.
