I looked at the reviews for AM and most of the recent Google reviews reference the salesman, Roy. I called AM today and asked for Roy. The response was " he is not available, how can I help?" When will he be available? R "He no longer works here". Can you provide me with a sales contract with the OTD price? R "we do not discuss numbers over the phone". I am not asking for numbers over the phone, I am asking for them in writing. R "go to our website, I will text you a link, see the sale price of $34,000 with a promotional discount of $5,000. I can help you get this discount.... are you in the military....?" The truck is listed for sale on Autotrader, 11/13/24, for $29,000.00 with a dealer fee of $1,495.00. No mention of a retail price of $34,000 and that you need to qualify for a $5,000. discount. This kind of says it all! More

About halfway down, there is a clause that states: “SPECIAL INTERNET PRICING IS BASED ON DEDUCTING ALL ADVERTISED DISCOUNTS, Military, Government employee, Student and VA resident. TOTAL PRICES ON VEHICLES MAY VARY. Alpha Motorsports makes every effort to provide the most accurate information about a vehicle. Some of the options and equipment listed on the window sticker may not be available on the vehicle. The dealership will not be responsible for any inaccurate information about a vehicle.” Obviously no one can be a government *and* a military employee, much less a full-time student. . They list a reasonable price on the listing (within blue book range), but if you scroll all the way down to “Dealer Information,” and click on the down-arrow, they have a tiny clause hidden in the wall of text that says: “SPECIAL INTERNET PRICING IS BASED ON DEDUCTING ALL ADVERTISED DISCOUNTS, Military, Government employee, Student and VA resident. So their listed price is fiction. My experience: I offered the $22k asking price in cash. They countered with $26,700, because I was paying in cash, they said I would have to pay *more* than someone financing a car! I also did not meet the four criteria for their discounted price (previous paragraph). They pointed me to the tiny print hidden in the Dealer Information drop-down on Carfax. I told them it had to be under $25k, because I planned to get the $4k EV rebate, and they came back with an almost $29k offer, with a 4K tire warranty! We had been there four hours, and were starting to leave when they suddenly offered the Buyers Agreement for $24,999. I told them I did not want their tire warranty, but they assured me it was a gift—offset by the supposed $4k “downpayment,” (that they photoshopped out of the same document sent to the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board). It wasn’t until the next day, that I started to connect the dots, and noticed all the discrepancies in the other documents.
