Double check the numbers. The dealership was very clean and the sales person who was recommended to us was very helpful. My wife and i went into Jim Butler Chevy on a Monday The dealership was very clean and the sales person who was recommended to us was very helpful. My wife and i went into Jim Butler Chevy on a Monday night after work. The sales person knew we were coming. He was waiting at the door with options in hand. He made it easy for us to decide on what we considered a very big purchase. It was towards the end of the work day for the staff,’ by the time we reached the financial managers office. 9pm or so. We chose our basic finance options, no additional coverage needed. The finance guy printed out a lot of papers to sign and initial. We did. And got the vehicle home and were very excited. The next day my wife was going over the numbers because it didn’t seem to add up. Turns out several thousand dollars of extra cost was put onto the final sales sheet at the very end. We did not agree to or even talk about. We did not catch the mistake that night at 945 pm after being in the dealership for multiple hours. I called the sales person right away and he said he would talk to the finance person and get back to us. The finance man called my wife back and told her that we did talk about adding additional warranties. He said we went round and round trying to decide if we wanted it or not. That wasn’t true. That was not discussed. We were very up front with what finance option we wanted. Regardless he said he would change the numbers and it would reflect on our first statement from the bank. He promised us it would get fixed. So we waited to see. Then a couple weeks later we get a statement from the bank. The numbers are still wrong. Nothing has changed. We are still currently dealing with the issue. Hopefully everything will work out. This was the second time I’ve bought a vehicle from a dealership and the first time I bought a brand new vehicle. Two different dealers. Both times I have been very disappointed. Both times I feel like i have been taken advantage of. More
