This is an abbreviated version of my experience with the service department. Oct. 11, 2023: Took truck in due to grinding/hard banging noise from underneath truck on drivers side. My truck is a 2013 Chevy A service department. Oct. 11, 2023: Took truck in due to grinding/hard banging noise from underneath truck on drivers side. My truck is a 2013 Chevy Avalanche and as of this posting has 64,042 miles. Repair: pad kit & front rotor. . Cost: $797.81. Oct 12, 2023. Same noise; took truck back in. Repair: new rear pads and rotors. Cost: $421.55. Dec 18, 2023: Same noise only much worse. Repair: replaced differential. Cost: $2964.30. Jan 24, 2024: Same noise. Afraid to drive. Took truck in again. They said they drove it but did not hear noise. Feb 15, 2024: same noise, but really loud. I recorded noise on my cellphone. Service department says they found problem; has to do with right front hub bearing assembly. I’m skeptical because noise was coming from underneath left side, not the right side. Cost: $833.86. I’ve paid a total of $5,017.52. I feel there were “repairs” made that were not needed at that time. My truck had no symptoms of needing new brakes and rotors, like excessive squeaking when brakes/rotors are bad. I know what bad brakes and rotors sound like. I complained to service manager and was “assured” that all work done needed to be done. I don’t believe that all those repairs needed to be done at essentially the same time. I am extremely disappointed in the service department. I feel that I paid for “so-called repairs” that were not immediately needed, and I wasn’t offered any compensation, except the service manager (who was very nice in listening to me) gave me his business card and asked me to see him directly if I have any more problems. Do I need to pay for more repairs ???. Unfortunately, I didn’t get anything in writing. My family has purchased 3 new vehicles from Homewood Chevy over the years and never had a problem with your service diagnosing and fixing a repair, until this time with my Chevy avalanche. More

Customer service at an all time low, very disrespectful, as soon as you walk in you can sence the negativity, they dont want anything but to take your money and screw you over. My mom purchased a 2015 Cruze LTZ from Homewood Chevrolet with another salesperson. Well her car has an issue and was still under warranty. Well her car was fixed and just inquiring about a truck led to her with another salesperson. Well her car has an issue and was still under warranty. Well her car was fixed and just inquiring about a truck led to her another purchase a 2021 Equinox. Mo her salesman got her in a newer vehicle with a better interest rate. I am so pleased with the professionalism and the compassion he provided for my mom. She is so ecstatic and I am too. Thank you Mo a she took his time with her and explained every detail to her. She got a great deal on the payoff of her other car and notes didn’t change but $30. Great experience and appreciate the fact that he didn’t take advantage of a senior citizen. I’ll see you soon Mo when I come and get my vehicle. Mo is highly recommended! More

Today I was disappointed by the service department. I was scheduled for an early morning appointment. I arrived promptly at the alloted time and was turned away. Upon purchasing my vehicle, I wasnt inf was scheduled for an early morning appointment. I arrived promptly at the alloted time and was turned away. Upon purchasing my vehicle, I wasnt informed that I needed a "we owe" slip for installation of a remote starter. I was only informed to make an appointment to have my car serviced and everything would be hassle free. So you can imagine my shock when I'm being grilled by the head Mike for paperwork; I hadn't been presented during the purchase of my vehicle. It took 30 minutes for my paperwork to be drawn up by the dealership. After presenting the head Mike with proof of purchase (for keyless starter); I was informed I'd need to reschedule. I think customer service from the service department is lacking and needs improvement. If a customer shows up for an appointment on time. It is a disservice to dismiss and demand a rescheduling for another day. It doesn't show that you value your customers time, nor display professionalism when there are discrepancies. Overall, I love the dealership however the service department leaves alot more to be desired. Hopefully it's something that can be taken seriously and worked on for the near future. More

The price for labor is definitely over rated!! First of all you have a panel on the car that tells you what is the problem , then they want to charge you $130 for a diagnostics. Should you decide not to have your car serviced you still have to pay for the dognistics. My issue was just a sensor.. not like my engine had to be dropped. The part costed 30.00 & labor cost 260.00As it is said when they see a female coming.. they get you. I will never go there again for service. More
