This was the most enjoyable car buying experience ever! My wife and I were in the market for a ("new" to us) used car. Over the years we have only bought used cars because we feel they are a better value. My wife and I were in the market for a ("new" to us) used car. Over the years we have only bought used cars because we feel they are a better value. We were looking for a car that would hold 7-8 people, have room for some cargo and could take baby seats (3 at a time) with no problem. We had settled on a late model Ford Flex and that is when we found Conestoga Motors. From the beginning Mel Horst was nothing but helpful and accomodating. One of my cardinal car-buying rules is that no matter where I am shopping, the seller must be willing to let me take the car to my hometown mechanic (Lemoyne, PA) and have him and his brothers give it the once over. For Mel that meant I had to take the car a hour away (about 50 miles) and keep it for a dayn before returning it.. He agreed without reservation. When my mechanic said this is the car I should buy, the deal was settled. We worked out the terms, Mel did all of the paperwork and got things ready. We returned in a few days to finalize the sale and we drove home with a great car, perfect for our needs. We would recommend Conestoga Motors to anyone interested in finding a great deal and a great car. Mel made us feel comfortable, talked to both of us about what we were looking for and answered all our questions easily and quickly. We will return to him in the future. More

There was no pressure to buy the vehicle and if Gerry or Mel said they were going to do something in the deal, it was done. I have found a dealership I believe is trustworthy and honest. I also would have no problem recommending them to family and friends. On a side note, if you are looking for any vehicle accessories to be added to you vehicle. They work with a company called Little Stream in New Holland. They installed a baseplate and towing system on the vehicle we purchased and it looks great and very reasonably priced. As Good Of A Vehicle Buying Experience As It Gets. I am a 74 year old car nut that has purchased at least 100 vehicles, from new to junk, in my life time from new car dealerships, used car dealerships, I am a 74 year old car nut that has purchased at least 100 vehicles, from new to junk, in my life time from new car dealerships, used car dealerships, and private parties. Just some back ground information to show that my recent purchase from Conestoga Motors is not my first vehicle buying experience. I didn't need a vehicle as I have at least one of every type already. However, I have had a yearning for a particular model, for about the past year, of the vehicle I purchased from Conestoga Motors. So, every now and then I would look on-line to see what was available, and wasn't compromising on just what I was looking for - I discovered a few during this time but they were either to high priced of had too many miles on them. This past Monday morning I found what I thought was my "jack pot" on-line at Conestoga Motors. The style was right, the mileage was right, the price was right, the engine was right, and the color was a bonus. I called the dealership hoping that it was still available, left a message, and received a call back from Mel Horst almost immediately. Yep, still had it! Mel asked me what I would be trading in if a deal was made. I told him, and he was soon back with the approximate amount they would give me for it. His quote was satisfactory enough for me to make a fairly lengthy trip from Bel Air, MD to take a look. Mel was waiting for me when I got there. This truck was even nicer than I had hoped for. He put a dealer tag on the truck, told me to drive it like I owned it, took my key to check out my trade-in while I was making the test drive, and told me to come back when I was finished. I did the drive, returned to the dealership, and Mel and I discussed a transaction - his trade-in offer was within his approximate earlier quote, the deal was struck, and I had a nicer truck than I expected it to be. Throughout every aspect of this deal I observed honesty, integrity, and no sales pressure out of Mel. Earlier in this review I mentioned the many deals I have made regarding new, used, and private sellers. I rate this dealership in the top 5 percent of all of those buys. More
