We struck a deal, shook hands and were prepared to pay in
full. I left my girlfriend there as I had to get back to work. She called me a half an hour later, from the finance office. They were insistent that

They were insistent that the deal we had just made and shook hands-on was not correct and that we owed another $2000 - absolute xx. I've been buying cars for a long time. I've had many many of them and I've never encountered practices this deceptive and just plain shady. At the end of the day, after four hours of going back-and-forth, and some very heated conversations we ended up with the car we came in to get. Had they honored the deal that we had shook hands on not pulled this baloney that makes car dealerships the place people wanna run from could've been done so much easier and actually happy. Mark my words this was not a mistake, this was a strategy, and a shady one. It's importat to add that our salesman, Gilbert, was charming and very helpful and I don't think I have anything to do with the malarkey that ensued.
