I’ve had the worst car-buying experience of my life with Coachella Valley Volkswagen, and I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from here to think twice. On November 9, 2024, I purcha Coachella Valley Volkswagen, and I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from here to think twice. On November 9, 2024, I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Sonata Limited after receiving a text claiming the manager had a great deal for me. That “deal” turned out to be only about $200 off. From the moment I drove the car home, I noticed multiple issues starting November 10, 2024: problems with the vanity lights, sunroof, power steering, sensors, AC, and a broken front camera. I immediately contacted the salesperson, and an appointment was made to bring the car in. When I brought it in, they didn’t do any work, just looked at it and told me to come back. Frustrated, I noticed more problems, so I kept texting the salesperson. Another appointment was made, and once again, they just looked at the car and told me the front camera was broken and that they needed approval to order the part, which would take three weeks. They promised to call me when to come back, but they never did. I emailed the owner, Todd, who scheduled an appointment for me to drop off the car on December 5, 2024. I picked it up on December 14, 2024, only to find that absolutely no work had been done. To make matters worse, my car was returned dirtier than when I left it, with new scratches on the exterior and unknown spots on the interior seats. None of the original issues had been resolved. When I emailed Todd to express my concerns, he refused to acknowledge the problems or take responsibility for the damage. He even tried to manipulate the timeline to make it seem like I was lying, falsely claiming that I emailed him on December 16 and that I had the car in my possession for days. The email receipts clearly show I contacted him on December 14, the day I got the car back. During this time, the dealership experienced a power outage and refused to provide me with any paperwork confirming what, if anything, had been done to my car. My last conversation with Todd was on December 16, 2024, and since then, I’ve been trying to get an update on the front camera part they claimed to have ordered. When I finally got through to someone yesterday, they texted me saying the part still hasn’t arrived. When I called back to follow up, I couldn’t get a response, and now my calls go straight to voicemail. This dealership has wasted my time and money and treated me as though I were beneath them. They are not friendly, not professional, and clearly have no respect for their customers. My car has been nothing but a headache since I bought it, and they’ve done nothing to resolve the issues. Do NOT buy a car from Coachella Valley Volkswagen. Save yourself the stress, money, and frustration. More
