On Feb. 4, 2021, I got a call from Mark in the finance department of Nimnicht Chevrolet of Jacksonville, Florida, informing me that they are now selling their 2021 C8 Corvettes for 10 thousand dollars ov department of Nimnicht Chevrolet of Jacksonville, Florida, informing me that they are now selling their 2021 C8 Corvettes for 10 thousand dollars over MSRP. I had placed my order with Mike St. Cyr, the sales inventory manager of Nimnicht Chevrolet, on June 6, 2020, for a new 2021 C8 Corvette. At that time I was told that the price would be at MSRP. On August 31, 2020, when I was in Mark’s office, he entered my order into their computer, listing the purchase price as MSRP. I have a copy of this order with an actual order # showing the purchase price of my car. When Mark called on Feb. 4th, he informed me of my choices: either pay an extra 10k or they would take me off their list and cancel my order. There were no price increases from the manufacture, the MSRP is still the same, or any other legitimate reason for the increase in price. In other words, the dealership is not incurring any additional expenses to warrant or justify the exorbitant price increase. This is simply a case of GREED, big time GREED. And another Big Business taking advantage of the little guy. I will never be a customer of Nimnicht Chevrolet in the future and caution others to be wary. If the car you order from them is in short supply, you could be receiving a similar call from Mark. I hope the other people who are on their C8 Corvette list will spread the word that this dealership is not treating their customers fairly. That they are not honoring their agreement and are just plain GREEDY. More
