I’m giving one star solely because the manager was helpful in assisting us with obtaining a second spare key, as the vehicle only had one. However, our overall experience was disappointing due to the helpful in assisting us with obtaining a second spare key, as the vehicle only had one. However, our overall experience was disappointing due to the conduct of the sales agent and the dealership’s questionable practices. While the sales agent was initially friendly, her demeanor changed significantly during the price negotiation process. When we questioned the $3,000 “City Care Package”—which we were later told was optional—she became noticeably rude. Despite her manager confirming that the package was indeed optional, the agent became visibly frustrated. She packed up the documents and keys abruptly, making us feel as though we were wasting her time. She even went so far as to say, “Excuse my French, but are you f*xxxxx kidding me, kid,” when we pointed out that removing an optional package should not be considered a discount. We visited several Kia dealerships prior to this one, and none of them had a $3,000 mandatory care package fee. Other dealerships also made an effort to work within our budget by offering actual discounts. In contrast, this dealership seemed to inflate the price by adding unnecessary packages, then removing them to give the illusion of savings. Additionally, we felt misled during the financing process. When we entered the finance office, we noticed the monthly payment was listed as $529. The finance representative attempted to upsell us a “2-for-1” package including GAP insurance and a tire & wheel protection plan for an additional $15 per month, bringing the payment to $544. When we declined both, we requested to review the paperwork and discovered the tire and wheel package had already been included—without our consent. After pointing this out, he removed the charge, and our payment dropped to $514. This strongly suggests the original “2-for-1” deal was misleading, as the tire and wheel package had already been included. In conclusion, this experience felt deceptive and manipulative. The dealership appeared to add unauthorized fees and packages in hopes that we wouldn’t notice, which undermines trust and transparency. We do not feel this dealership had our best interests in mind and would not recommend them based on our experience. More
