We made multiple attempts to contact Marco but received no response. Before going to the dealership, I spent a significant amount of time on the phone being transferred between departments trying to get assistance. When I finally reached the used car manager, much of the conversation focused on correcting my use of the term "lemon" rather than discussing the issues we were experiencing with the vehicle or possible solutions. We then drove to the dealership and spent nearly four hours there. In the end, we were told there was little they could do. The only option presented was to purchase a replacement catalytic converter at their stated cost of approximately $3,900. Wanting a second opinion, we took the vehicle to a reputable dealership in Leander. Not only were they more helpful and informative, but they quoted us roughly half of what Group 1 Toyota North Austin quoted for the same repair. Unfortunately, my friend still had to finance the replacement of the catalytic converter shortly after purchasing the vehicle. I understand that buying a used vehicle comes with risks. However, the lack of communication from the salesperson, the difficulty getting assistance after the sale, the amount of time spent trying to get answers, and the significant repair costs incurred shortly after purchase made this a very disappointing experience. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend purchasing a used vehicle from a dealership with a consistent track record of positive customer reviews and strong post-sale customer service. I would give this place a 0 if I could. More
